Tie My Skates

The boys start off this episode talking about who they think will be the next Flyers captain, Wade Allison not being signed yet, and tanking for Bedard (5:13). Coots takes the floor for the first installment of “Coot’s Thoughts” (21:25) before going Around the League (25:46) where they are joined by Paul Pollock from The Bright Side podcast to discuss the World Junior Championship (38:06). Then, the fellas draft their Top 3 Flyers moments of the 21st century (55:38) and discuss some postgame topics (1:24:23). They wrap up by bringing on current Columbus Blue Jacket Justin Danforth to talk about his junior/college career, playing overseas, making it to the NHL and much more (1:33:21).

The fellas start the episode by sharing their thoughts and gripes with the Flyers missing out on the Johnny Gaudreau sweepstakes (0:35). After that the boys move onto recapping the Flyers free agency moves (17:35). Not only that, but the boys will recap other major moves from other teams around the league (38:28). After recapping the FA signings around the league, you’ll hear our thoughts for who will be “our guy”. The “My Guy” segment will elaborate more on which player we each think will have the biggest impact on the Flyers team next year. (1:29:28). Lastly, we’ll wrap up the pod with some postgame thoughts (1:29:28).

The boys are back for Season 2! We start the episode discussing the Flyers new bench boss, John Tortorella (05:40), before moving on to the Farabee and Ellis injuries (21:33). Then, during Around the League, the boys talk about the Stanley Cup Finals, the Fiala trade, and the Bruins recent extension for GM Don Sweeney (31:13). We are then joined by Josh Bright from The Bright Side podcast and discuss the NHL Draft Prospects ahead of the 2022 NHL Draft (55:39). The boys wrap up the episode with a hypothetical (1:42:10)and find out something new about Johnny (1:50:52).

Tie My Skates Season 1 Finale: The gang starts out this episode with their end of season thoughts and then give out their Flyers superlative awards. Its DG VS Johnny in the Trial of Travis Konecny as they argue about how "good" TK really is and if he should be on the trade block. They then go around the league and give their round by round Stanley Cup Playoff predictions, and wrap up the ep with some postgame topics including the Comcast lawsuit and player exit interviews.
