In some countries, the 2020-21 season is well underway while in others, the opening weekend just took place earlier this week.
In this episode, we talk a little bit about how the race for 2nd place in this years Ligue 1 could be very interesting between Monaco, Marseille, Lyon, and Lille. We also talk about the Scottish Premier League as the race between Celtic and Rangers is as promising as ever. Lastly, we rant a bit about why the UEFA Nations League should not exist - 2 years after it started, a lot of people have still not understood its purpose or don't know how it works. We try to look at its format and explain why it came into existence.

The Inside Forward's podcast, TIFCast is back with a special guest: amateur footballer and avid football fan, Chirayu Patil.
Since TIFCast is a football analysis and opinion podcast, we had a guest with an inspiring local playing background over who gave us his thoughts on football analysis about global as well as local level football. We also speak to him about football fan culture - how fans supporting a club 1000s of km away works.
Listen to him to know about how much football is analysed locally, and how Cristiano Ronaldo made him fall in love with football.
Give it a listen, and subscribe to TIFCast for a new episode every 2 weeks.
Hello! Who doesn't love poking fun at rival fans after a trophy loss or when your club gets one over their clubs? But there are some clubs whose fans take more slack others. Sometimes, they are so depressed that their fans poke fun at their own clubs. They've just been that bad for a long period of time
We were shocked by the CAS decision to overturn Man City's Champions League ban which more or less nullified the integrity of FFP. But, research into FFP and football's financial world led us to see that the financial problems in football are much deeper than just FFP - they're systematic problems. So, in this podcast, you'll listen to how FFP came to be, its loopholes & problems, and various ownership models in football. So give it a listen and understand how money is taking over the beautiful game - we won't blame you if you feel that something's lost in modern football!
Special thanks to Outtrack records for recording & editing the episode - and we did it online this time due to a lockdown in our city!

In recent years, La Liga teams have started to play a style that's less and less dependent on ball possession and accurate passes than during the Spanish national team's glory years from 2008 to 2012. In very recent seasons, La Liga teams have also fluffed major transfers, and shown signs of dwindling their dominance in Europe. There has always been talk about referees and how their decisions have impacted the Spanish League, and with the introduction of VAR, controversies have not reduced.
Join Mihir and Shree for the second episode of TIFCast, where we take a look at La Liga's issues and also note some phenomenal wonderkids with potential to be world class emerging from there.

The Bundesliga restarted in mid-May. Since then, other major leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A) have also followed in its footsteps and chosen to restart the 2019-20 season after the imposed break. In the Bundesliga, early matches were dull and boring as players suffered from fitness issues and teams struggled to find their rhythm. The lack of home fans also had an effect on majority of the matches. We're already seeing similar issues pop up in the Premier League and La Liga. In this episode, we take a look at these on-pitch issues and also take a look at leagues who have chosen to curtail their season. Listen to the episode and let us know how you feel!
