Wild Animal Sanctuary is on the front line rescuing big cats from people like Joe Exotic. In fact, Kent’s sanctuary has taken in over THIRTY big cats (and a few bears) that were surrendered from Joe Exotic’s facility! He’s here to talk about what he has witnessed and remind everyone that behind the glitz and glam of the sensationalized TV show, there are real animal lives at stake, and they deserve better. He’s here to teach us all about the regulations in the big cat world and how he does things differently.

Later in the episode we hear from my good friend, Pets on Q employee and big fan of The Tiger King on Netflix, Melissa Curtis. Melissa and I discuss the phenomenon the show has become, and how we can try take this moment to actually educate the public and help more animals in the long run.
