The time has come, Tigers! We are kicking off SEASON 4 withthe one, the only… Mrs. Voegele!

Not only is Mrs. Voegele an ageless wonder, she is also avast wealth of information, knowledge, and experience. She is an OG Tiger – one who has seen it all and has the memory of a talented dolphin. As a teacher, students appreciate her love for literature and grammar and her witty sense ofhumor.  When you can’t find Mrs. Voegele in her classroom, you will find her at the bowling ally, coaching our bowlersto exciting, pin-dropping victories. Tune in to one of our favorites and discover what drives her love for teaching and for her students.

Join us as we say ADIOS to our beloved Senora Harris after years of experience teaching Spanish to our bilingual Tigers. Not only does Mrs. Harris love teaching, but her passion for learning has always guided her in her career in education. She explains the significance and value of knowing an additional language and how it can benefit students in many different ways. Tune in to learn about our favorite Spanish-speaking retiree and her plans for life after EHS. We will miss you, Senora Harris!

After 31 years of teaching at Edwardsville High School, Mr. Jeff Gall shares about his life, career in education, and his plans for the future. Mr. Gall has a history of teaching a variety of Social Science classes over the years and has always prioritized making history relatable and interesting for his students. We appreciate his dedication to our tigers and wish him the very best in his retirement era! We will miss you, Mr. Gall! 

We sit down with Mother Nature’s nurturers to chat about our local favorite place and it is a breath of fresh air. Our local Watershed Nature Preserve wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of these fine folks and their hard work to preserve and maintain this beautiful area in our town. Today on Tiger Spotlight we get to spotlight some of our wonderful grads. In the last 4 years we've come to know around 500 students, and shortly they will leave us...but first....we must interview them! Although it’s sad to see them go, they’ll do great things once they leave at the end of May. Today we get to talk about the last four years with four EHS grads through their final months of senior year. ConGRADulations graduates!! Go do great things, but don't forget to tune in weekly.

Tigers UNITE! Unified Sports has been an ongoing tradition at Edwardsville High School promoting students of all abilities! Managed by Athletic Director Ms. Kayla Magruder and her committed Key Club members, Reagan and Nora, there is a lot of behind the scenes planning to host and promote these exciting events in fields like basketball, dance, flag football, and more. In this episode we sit down with two of our high school Ethics Bowl team members, heading for nationals in Chappel Hill, exploring how philosophy shapes their approach to complex moral dilemmas. From Immanuel Kant's categorical imperative to Aristotle's virtue ethics, the team delves into the philosophical frameworks that guide their reasoning in debates on real-world issues. Whether grappling with conflicts between individual rights and societal good or using Socratic questioning to dig deeper into ethical debates, the team showcases how classical philosophical ideas help them navigate the challenging terrain of modern ethics, aiming not just for victory but for a greater understanding of how we should live and act in the world.
