In Episode 115 of GoTigers247's Tigers in 20, founder of GoTigers247, Brooks Hansen, and lead digital content creator, Kenny Stubblefield, discuss the Tiger basketball team's month of December and the emergence of freshman Josh Minott.

In the first segment, Brooks and Kenny respond to some of the Tiger players expressing their frustrations with Tiger fans on Twitter. Brooks breaks down why fans and media have the right to respectfully comment on the play of the teams they either cover or support. Brooks and Kenny share what they believe should be the focus of the Tiger basketball team and how they can silence the negativity.

In the second segment, Brooks and Kenny discuss the wins against Alabama and Wichita State, and also discuss the positives from the Tulane loss. Brooks then goes into detail on the emergence of Josh Minott and his production. Kenny then discusses the grit and grind, big man lineup with Jalen Duren and Malcolm Dandridge starting. Memphis football has a rising star on its hands in Kyle Pope. As the defensive line coach for Ryan Silverfield's Tigers, Pope has found quick success aas an on-field assistant. At Liberty in 2019, Pope mentored the team’s leading tackler, Solomon Ajayi, as the Flames reached a bowl game during their first full season as an FBS member. Last year under Pope, the Tigers were excellent up front with O’Bryan Goodson earning first-team all-conference honors. He also worked for two years as a d-line GA at Alabama. He’s also worked at Holmes Community College, West Alabama and Presbyterian.

Pope is also an excellent recruiter, finishing the 2021 cycle ranked as the No. 3 overall recruiter in the American, per the 247Sports Recruiter Rankings. He was also named to the 247Sports 30Under30 for 2021.

Following up on National Signing Day, GoTigers247 profiled Pope's relationship with the Tigers' top-rated high school signee for the 2022 class Joshua White. As part of that process, GT247 took a few minutes to sit down with White's lead recruiter to get his take on the importance of mental health for collegiate athletes.

In episode 112 of GT247's Tigers in 20, host and lead writer Christian Fowler and GoTigers247 digital content creator Kenny Stubblefield discuss whether or not they believe Memphis will outperform its preseason rankings.

The Associated Press released its Preseason Top 25 on Monday, and Penny Hardaway and the Tigers checked in at No. 12. Last week, the American Athletic Conference revealed its preseason rankings, and Memphis came in second behind Houston.

Throughout the episode, the discussion is centered around the preseason rankings. Fowler and Stubblefield break down the current roster with Jalen Duren, Emoni Bates and Earl Timberlake among others in the fold. 

The GT247 crew also talks about the coaching staff and the role they'll play this season. Hardaway added Hall of Famer Larry Brown and former All-Star Rasheed Wallace to bolster the staff heading into the 2021-2022 season.

In this episode of Off the Boards, host and lead writer Christian Fowler is joined by Basketball News' Senior NBA Draft Analyst Matt Babcock to discuss Memphis' pro day, Jalen Duren, Emoni Bates and much more.

Babcock was in attendance for the pro day earlier this week and was able to watch the entire Tigers' roster firsthand. In 2019, Babcock was at Memphis for the pro day with James Wiseman and Precious Achiuwa, and he begins the episode by talking about the differences and similarities between the two teams.

Next, he breaks down what he saw from Duren and Bates and explains how both can be very high picks in the draft. Babcock currently has Duren as his No. 4 overall prospect for the 2022 NBA Draft, and he said he feels very confident in that ranking.

After the discussion on Duren and Bates, Babcock gives his insight and opinion on Lester Quinones, DeAndre Williams, Landers Nolley, Earl Timberlake, Josh Minott, John Camden and Johnathan Lawson.

With the season coming soon, Babcock said he will be keeping a very close eye on this Memphis team and its potential NBA prospects.
