    Meet my dad. 💍 In this episode, I sit down with my dad, Mike, and my sister, Dakota to dig into how we each ended up in the jewelry world, and how different our paths were.

    My dad started as a stock boy in a jewelry store in 1968, making $1 an hour. He went on to earn his GIA Graduate Gemologist degree , open his own appraisal business, and build a store from scratch. My sister and I took different routes through luxury, so we also swap stories from behind the counter at Tiffany and Coach.

    Plus: some family jewelry bombs get dropped, and I find out I still own something I thought was gone forever. 👀

    And finally the fun part: Proposal stories. I've collected so many of these over the past 11 years, from clients who trusted me with the actual ring for their actual moment. Some of these stories are sweet, some are chaotic, some involve a trip to Mexico where she couldn’t make it to her own proposal, and I'm sharing them. Along with, obviously, way too much detail about the engagement rings themselves.
