Ray took decades building his business up. But it took one employee less than a year to nearly bring it all crashing down. Ray shares the horrifying details in this episode. And Tim offers some advice about how to spot a bad apple early.

Chris owns a company called Filtrex Service Group, an HVAC company based out of Oklahoma. The company is as the cutting edge of using software to better manage building heating and cooling. Chris is incredibly excited about what they've developed. But it took a long time and a huge investment to get there.

Chris tells Tim about what he's learned about integrating new technology into a very old industry. And he shares his personal story about how becoming a better man led him to becoming a better businessman.

I don't like working with people I don't like. Period. After more than 30 years in business it's the one thing I know for sure. You have to build a friendship with the people you're in business with. But these days that is absolutely frowned upon.

There are a lot of theories about how to become a great salesman. But today I'm going to tell you one you probably haven't heard before. Stop trying to sell. The second you approach your clients as a greasy salesman you're bound to fail. Instead, approach them as friend. Creating a real relationship with people is way harder than being a salesman. But it's guaranteed to pay off in ways you never expected.
