  • TIM HUNTER TALKS WITH....Scott Paine! Again!

This is a specially produced mini-podcast with Scott. We had just met to chat, get caught up and remember old times, when he started down the road of a story he wanted to share, that went along with a yellowed newspaper clipping he had from 1959 of his dad, his future mom and Esther Williams.

  • Tim Hunter Talks With....Becky Brenner

In the last episode, we talked about the passing of Classic Country DJ Charlye Parker, who capped off a 60-year (not a typo) radio career with one final broadcast a couple of Fridays ago.

Among the people who joined her that final morning--just two days before she passed--was Radio Consultant and a bit of a NW Radio Trailblazer herself, Becky Brenner.

We talk about that final broadcast and, as what happens when radio people get together, all things broadcasting.

From now on, Charlye will always be the one that got away and a reminder that tomorrow is not guaranteed. We had planned to do this podcast together after her "Farewell to Radio" show last Friday morning on Classic Country, KXA. It took everything she had to make it through that show and over the weekend, her illness took her away. But she went out the way she wanted and with the most amazing attitude imaginable. Way to go, Charlye!
