Ethan Chaplin, a student at Glen Meadow Middle School, says he was twirling his pencil with a pen cap on it when another student in his math class screamed out, "He's making gun motions, send him to juvie."
Superintendent Charles Maranzano said the suspension and evaluation is part of school policy, adding that there has to be an investigation any time a student feels uncomfortable or feels threatened.
