At first, observers thought they were dealing with a meteorite. Only when titanium balls began turning-up around Ashburton, Mid Canterbury. It became clear that what they were dealing with. Those space balls. Were manmade. Bits of Russian Venus Probe Kosmos 482. The main body of which is still up there! Due to do a repeat tour 2025, 2026ish.  Note: You can see the balls in person at the Ashburton Aviation Museum.
