Your spiritual life is lived in your mind, not in your emotions. Do you want to be a good Christian? This is how: stay filled with the Holy Spirit, hear and learn the Word of God under the ministry of a well-qualified pastor, grow up spiritually by metabolizing what you learn so it is in your soul ready for recall and then use it! Application of what you’ve learned is the key. If you love God, you will obey Him. “This is the love of God that we keep His mandates, and His mandates are not hard” (1 John 5:3). You arrive at occupation with Christ when He takes precedence over everything else in your life. Your relationship with God is more important than with people or things. “Sanctify the Lord Jesus Christ in your hearts” (1 Pet 3:5).
