I had a lovely time chatting to Leandrie Matthews a fellow pageant girl all about her connection to speech therapy. Leandrie plans to become a speech, language and hearing therapist. We talked all about why she has decided on this particular career path and the need for more people to become speech and language therapists. The podcast has now reached an international audience with Leandrie being our first guest from South Africa!

I had the pleasure of speaking to the amazing Kara Brookes. She is a pageant girl, NHS worker and has overcome her speech problem she was diagnosed with when she was three. With the help of the ICAN charity she was able to receive the support she deserved. Thank you Kara for sharing your story!

Myself and mum had a conversation about what it is like to be a family member of a disabled child. We talked all about the lack of support available for parents and mum offered up some amazing advice to parents who are having concerns about if their own child has speech development problems.
