God, in his wisdom and grace, gives us our churches, where we are encouraged to assist each other, physically and spiritually, on the journey home to heaven.

God gives us people who help and nurture us along in our spiritual growth which is an important part of our walk of faith. Very often these people come to us in our church, a community of learning to help us stay faithful.

Worshipping the Lord together in public shows the world we are proud of our God, proud to be his children, and are grateful for all he has done for us.

God loved us so much that he sent his own son to die on the cross for us. We should love one another no matter how different we are.

At the baptism of Jesus he began his public ministry. God empowered him through the Holy Spirit to begin his journey to the ultimate sacrifice for mankind.

We often live in fear and despair as though Jesus were still dead. Jesus is alive, proving that our sins are forgiven, heaven awaits us, and he rules over all

things. That’s the joy that will see us home!

As he did on Psalm Sunday, Jesus continues to come to us humbly and quietly. By faith we accept the path of humility and suffering, believing that because our King Jesus walked that path first, he will sustain us and bring us into glory.

When everything seems to be going wrong in our world, we have the certainty that Jesus, who overcame this world with his suffering and death, will take us to be with him forever in the perfect peace of heaven.

The Lord has unlimited love for us, gently calling us to himself. But there is also severe punishment that comes from rejecting him.

God is serious about his return to claim his believers. Though it cost us nothing to become Christians, Jesus calls for nothing less than complete dedication and service to him while we await his return.
