The Israelites were enslaved by the Egyptian people. God sent Abraham to lead his people out of Egypt. The Israelites did not always trust and believe in God, but God took care of them for all the years they wandered the desert. God cares for us and we should trust that he will help us and love us until we meet him in heaven someday.

It is hard for sinful human beings to grasp the power of God. We never will understand miracles or all of the amazing things that God does for us. As Christians we have faith and trust in God even though we don't understand. We don't know what will happen tomorrow, but we know that we have eternal life through Christ.

We will never be as powerful as God. Adam and Eve learned that lesson the hard way when they ate from the tree to be like God. Lucky for us, we don't need to be powerful to defeat the devil. God gave us Jesus, who was our super man and defeated death and the devil in our place.

People often forget other people, but we never forget Christ. He was true God and true Man. He was fully God while on this earth, and though we are weak human beings, Christ was the perfect human. He serves as an example to all his followers.

Jesus didn't come to save just one group of people. God sent his son to save all mankind. Differences among people are only earthly. They won't matter in heave and they don't matter in the eyes of God.

Jesus didn't just magically appear. He was born a humble birth, born of a virgin. His mother was Mary and his father was God. His earthly father, Joseph, helped care for him while he was on earth. We aren't just here for no reason. We are chosen children of God.

Jesus came to earth to minister to the people that needed a savior. God wants us to reach out to people in need, even if it is out of our comfort zone.

God wants us to live for him. Everything else that happens on this earth is an added bonus. What matters most is living for God because in heaven what we did on earth won't matter anymore.

God has taken us each as his child through our baptism. We are blessed to be children of God and should serve him and live according to his Word.
