You have been given a certain amount of time on Earth. Only God knows the time, the manner and the place of your departure. Your mission during your time on Earth is to shine the light of the Gospel, to re-present Jesus Christ to those in darkness. “I am the Light of the world and he who follows Me shall no longer walk in darkness but will have the Light of life” (John 8:12). You must be ready to shine the light anywhere, anytime, any day to lead lost men and women to Christ. “Now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” (Eph 5:8). This means you are the reflective light of the righteousness of Jesus Christ. The truth of the Word of God in your soul is the battery that produces the light. “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Ps 119:105). The light of God’s Word keeps you from stumbling in the darkness of Satan’s world and comforts you. Your attitude and actions can enlighten the lost man. You are an ambassador for Christ. Shine the light.
