Introduction:
Time is without question the most valuable resource we have. We wouldn’t trade it for money; in fact, we would spend money to have more of it. Our focus passage for today is a rarity—it is the only psalm accredited to Moses and is said to be one of his prayers that he turned into a song. It just so happens to deal with time.
Scripture:
– Psalm 90:1-12
– Psalm 39:4-7
– Exodus 20:12
– Deuteronomy 5:33
– Proverbs 10:27
– Psalm 34:12-14
– Proverbs 3:1-2
– 1 Kings 3:14
– Proverbs 9:10-11
– Ephesians 5:15-20
Sermon Points:
– Our time is limited!
– God can shorten or extend your time!
– Understanding how short time is gives us wisdom!
Closing:
Understanding how valuable time is will give us a fear, and the fear will lead us into wisdom because the only way we have a chance of extending our time is by serving the Lord and relying on him to do it! Make the most of your life. Don’t waste it. God gave you this life so that you could serve him and do his will!
