Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The Declaration of Independence identifies liberty - as in freedom of movement - as a right we have received from God. The First Amendment guarantees Christians the right to the free exercise of religion, without interference from government. But governor after governor has shut down church services, even those with less than 10 people. New York mayor DeBlasio is threatening to put churches who don’t obey him permanently out of business. Before a federal judge shut him down, the mayor of Louisville intended to criminalize Easter by sending cops into a church parking lot to take down license numbers and fine each offender $500, a move the judge said was “unconstitutional, and beyond all reason.” Let’s reopen America before what’s left of the Bill of Rights is shredded beyond repair.
