Zephaniah 2:1-15, 2 Corithians 6:2, Luke 21:36, James 4:6
In this chapter, Zephaniah discusses the consequences of not repenting and the judgment that will befall the nations surrounding Judah, which have oppressed God's people.
God has a unique way of judging people, and sometimes, He brings down people so that they can humble themselves before Him and accept that He has complete power over this world. He judges our enemies as well as the people with whom He wants a relationship and who are far from Him. It is a blessing to be under His shadow, as Psalm 91:1 says: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." We can remain under His protection when we repent, rest, and trust Him, for who can fight the Almighty?
Today, let us remember that God, in His wisdom, will judge our enemies in His own way. Therefore, we are encouraged not to seek revenge, as He is more than capable of dealing with them on our behalf.
