Day 1 — Evening Exercise

Once you’re home from your workday, take ten minutes to reflect on what came up for you. Take out your journal (I am doing that using this blog as my journal) and reflect on your day. Write down your answers to the following questions.

What experiences trigger my fear?

What thoughts trigger my fear?

What are the feelings that come over me when I am in fear?

How does my fear affect my behavior?

Throughout the next six weeks, you’ll use your journal (blog) to document your process. each journal (blog) entry will act as a benchmark for your progress. Be sure to take this step seriously, because we’ll be reflecting on your work in later weeks. If writing down your feelings is unfamiliar or challenging, don't sweat it!! Just put pen to paper (fingers to keyboard) and do your best to answer the questions and let your thoughts flow. Over time, it will become easier and you’ll notice the impact of writing down your answers.

Now make a list of the fears you have uncovered. If the exact fear is clear to you, them simply write it out. Be mindful, though, that you may be unable to pinpoint your fear head-on. If this is the case, then it may actually be easier to become aware of the ways you may be “playing small,” that is, hiding out or avoiding certain situations. For instance, maybe you skipped the gym again. is it possible that you’re nervous about they way people will look at you? Or maybe your didn’t speak up in the office meeting. Could it be that you have a deep-rooted fear of ideas being rejected? By paying close attention to your behavior, you can begin to get honest about what fears your may have been denying.

Once you’ve identified a few of your fears, take a moment to determine which fears are the strongest. Choose your top three fears and then rate each one’s strength on a scale of 1–10 (10 being the strongest). Write these fears at the top of a new page in your journal (blog) and repeat your affirmation out loud: “I AM WILLING TO WITNESS MY FEAR, I AM PROUD OF MYSELF FOR DOING THIS WORK”

When you’re ready to retire for the night, prepare for another exercise. Each night I will guide your subconscious mind so that your practical mind can take a backset. let go of your to-do lists and clear space for inspiration to come forth. This evening I’ll guide you in a meditation that will help you reflect on the day with a loving perspective. Today’s work may have brought up some uncomfortable stuff. That’s cool. Remember that facing our fears is a huge part of this practice — after all, if we don’t witness the fear, we cannot be set free from it. In this meditation, I’ll guide you to energetically disconnect from the fears that have been present today.

The upcoming exercise is your first meditation. Follow my guidance below.

In your mediation space, sit up straight on the floor or on a chair. Gently allow your shoulders to fall into a natural position. Get your body into alignment to receive the energetic guidance that will come through your meditation.

Close your eyes and place your hands on your knees, palms facing up. Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth. Continue this cycle of breath as you center into your meditation.

So lets begin Project — Does Self Help Books Work??

Day 1

The book that I am going to start this project with is May Cause Miracles By Gabrielle Bernstein.

Day 1 — Morning Reflection

Begin your practice today by reading the following morning reflection. Immediately following the passage, sit for one minute of silence — close your eyes and breath deeply in your nose and out your mouth. This minute of silence will let the message set in and permeate your being. remember that the work we do together will be subtle. Therefore, you may not think one minute of stillness will have an effect, but trust that every second your choose a new perspective is a miracle.

Today I am the witness to my fear. I open my heart and mind to see how I have chosen fear over love. Today I will watch myself as if I’m standing across the street peeking into the world I have created. I will witness how my fears run the show. I will pay attention to my patterns. Without judgement I will become conscious of where my mind chose wrongly and how these fear- based thoughts have tainted my happiness. I know this practice if the first step to uncovering my destructive patterns to create powerful change. I am ready, willing, and able to look at the delusional thoughts I’ve been projecting I’m willing to witness my fear.

Day 1 — Affirmation

I AM WILLING TO WITNESS MY FEAR

Whenever you notice your fears rise up during the day, repeat the preceding affirmation. For instance, if you become anxious at work, nervous before a date, or uncomfortable meeting someone new, you can simply use your affirmation: I AM WILLING TO WITNESS MY FEAR. The practice of witnessing your triggers. This awareness will be helpful in upcoming exercises.

Take this message with you throughout the day by plugging it into your phone as an hourly reminder. When the alarm goes off, read your affirmation to gently remind yourself to look courageously at your fears straight-on and say, “I AM WILLING TO WITNESS MY FEAR.”

MIRACLE MOMENT

In addition to using your affirmation, set your alarm on your phone for noon (or your lunch break) with a notification called ‘miracle break.’ This is your Miracle Moment, and trust me, it has the power to shift the energy of your whole day!! When your alarm buzzes, gently remind yourself to choose love over fear by reciting you affirmation.

I will tell you what happen during my day when I write about Day 1 — Evening Exercise.

“There is never a time when God or “the force” isn’t guiding you. And you do not have to wait for any green lights of “get out of jail free” cards. The big guy is available 24/7 once you’re ready to focus your full attention on it. The FP’s guidance happens (as they say about…. well, something else) — though a song lyric on the radio, by a phone call from a long-lost friend. The trick is to pay attention, trust, and as I will continue to repeat, focus your full attention on it.

And while we’re on the topic of God’s will, let’s get this out on the table. There is no place in our updated picture of God for a hell of everlasting torment or for a staidest who would or could attempt to put you there. Nor is there any room for the idea that sickness or deformity or death or poverty or limitation of any kind is the will of God. The will of God, for those who insist on using that term, is the creaseless longing of the spirit in you to become all you’re capable of being. Amen.” Pg. 37 of the Book E-Square By Pam Grout

Its funny how we blame God when things are going perfect in our lives but we also blame God when things have all gone to shit in our lives. We ask for something but the reason we do not receive it is because deep down in our soul we truly do not believe we deserve what it is we are asking for. We don’t put ourselves into the state of mind of already having it.

I know what most people think how can I do that when I don’t know how I will feel until I have what ever it is that you are wanting. The answer is easy.

Let take you want to be rich… Most people want to be rich but they act and feel like their are poor. But, Tina I am poor how can I feel rich when I don’t have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out. That’s a great statement but it is also a shitty way to think.

How many of you have crystal wine glasses that you only use on special occasions? Well all do!! But rich people drink their morning orange from crystal. So I started to drink all my drinks from crystal glasses. Hell, I have them I might as well use them. I eat my meals of nice plates and drink from crystal glassware to put me in the mindset of feeling RICH!!!

I spend my time off by a friends pool pretending that I as at a resort some place I want to go to, while still drinking from that crystal. Every time I buy grocery's I make sure that a splurge on something nice that I want to eat. Just like rich people would do. I take baths with candles and rose pedals to relax myself just like rick people do.

What that does is puts in a mindset of being RICH and if that is want I want to ask God or the Universe for than at all time I keep myself thinking that I am already their and you know what God and the Universe gives me what I ask for because I know in my soul that is what I want. I do this daily….

When we don’t do this one of two things will happen. First you may not receive what you ask for because you truly do not believe you deserve it. The second things is that you may not receive it now because you are not met to have it at this exact moment but it will come to you when the time is correct for you to receive it. But no matter what you have to stay in the mindset until you do receive what you asked for.

I have asked for something and receive it with in minutes of me asking, I also have asked for something and it takes weeks or months for me to receive what I asked for. But no matter what I keep in that mindset that it is coming to me…

We have lesson to learn before things come to us and we will keep in the same state until we learn that less. The great news is that once you learn this amazing treat of manifesting the life that you want it happens faster and faster.

What I have witnessed over my life time is that we tend to think that only certain people deserve to have a wonderful life. They were born into the correct family, they have the right last name. to many of us it seems that others have been given everything and the rest of us are just getting by on a hope and a prayer. Most of the time we are resentful towards those people even if we don’t think we are.

The truth is that we all that it within us to achieve greatness, the only difference is that some of us have to work a bit harder to achieve it, while others have it handed to them. But what I have found is that no one has what is call an easy life. It does not matter if you come form privilege or not. everyone has battles that they have to work at to become who they want to become.

I for one grow up very poor. We went with out food and most of the time we had no electricity in our home. My father was in and our of prison most of my life and for the most part my mother made me and my brother feel like we were a burned to her. However that did not stop me from going to college, having a family of my own and working hard to have a life that was different from the one that I grow up in.

I worked really hard to give my children a life that I did not have growing up. I made sure they always had lots of food to eat, the power was never cut off and I gave them the most important thing that anyone can give to someone else and that was love.

I wanted my children to know that they were loved and they would always be loved. Even now that I have two children out on their own and finding their own way in life I still tell them daily that I love them. I hug them when I see them, I kiss them and I always tell them I love them. To the point that they will say to me “I know Mom, You love me.”

I did not buy them everything they wanted I made them work for it. I did not allow them to be disrespectful towards other. I treated them like a person and I allowed them to express their feels about everything. I always talked to them like they were a person and not like a child. In return I was blessed with children who could make decisions for themselves and they know that they could talk to me about anything.

But for me the most important thing that I taught my children was to love and be grateful for everything they have and everyone in their lives. My grandmother always told me, “If you have love you are the riches person in the world.” I believe that I know that God or the universe or higher power what every you want to call it does not care the lifestyle that you came from what matters is the love that you put out into the world. The more love you put out the more love and abundance you will receive.

So instead of being rude to the waiter/ waitress or upset because you are to wait in line find something to be thankful for and give something or someone love and see what happens. I bet that you day will only get better.

Whopper #6: you don’t want to ask too much from God; you certainly wouldn’t want to bug him..

“As I’ve already pointed out, the FP is not a person; therefore you cannot bug him. FP is a power, an unseen energetic force. It isn’t finite or limited, so yo certainly couldn’t ask too much of it. As the old saying goes, you can take an eye dropper or a bucket to the ocean, The ocean doesn’t care. If anything, we don’t use the FP power nearly enough. This is an all powerful force we’re talking about here, not some last minute relief team that comes in to pay the mortgage. The FP is not an adversary that has to be coaxed to the bargaining table.” Pg. 36 Form the book E-Square by Pam Grout

Why is it that the only time that we do ask for help is when we are in a state of desperation? I know because up until than we think that we have all the control over what happens in our lives. Until we loss that so called control and now we are looking for help for above.

Would it not be smarter to be grateful everyday for what you have and your live to ensure that you have that and much much more? Or is it better to lose everything that you have and have to plead for help to keep it? For me, I am grateful every single day of my life for the things and the people in my life. I also ask for the things that I want to appear into my life everyday.

When you ask for what you want every day and feel as if it is your you will receive it because that is the law of attraction. Think about everything you have up until this point in your life. Is it not because you wanted it in your life? Is it not because you wished for it in your life? I am a mother of 3 happy and healthy children. I asked for my children to come into my life. I know the order I was going to have my children because I asked for them in a certain order and no one could tell me that it was going to be different. I even has someone tell me with my last child that it was going to be a boy because I was willing it so. and you know what they were telling the truth.

I asked for a second son and I did not doubt that I would get a second son. The doctor, nurses, and other could not tell me that I was not having a son because I would not let that thought enter my mind. If you want something in your life you have to have compete faith that you will have it and not allow anything to take your mind off what ever it is that you want in your life. You have to know without a doubt that it is your and it is coming to you. That is how you create the life you want. You speak what you want have no doubt that it is coming into you life…

Whopper #5: God is just so Demanding

“The FP doesn’t judge. It doesn’t punish, well, Sammy C. was a good boy yesterday, helping that old lady cross the street. I think I’ll answer his prayer about winning the lottery. Those are thoughts Clarence Thomas might think. The FP doesn’t need anything. It requires nothing of us. It make no demands. It doesn’t like Mother Teresa more than Celine Dion. Only misinformed humans, scrambling desperately to make sense of their world, came yup with a God who plays eenie-meenie-min- mo with our lives, a God who likes and dislikes the same people we do. To often we think that we are not in Gods Favor and that is why our life is hard. People are to afraid to take the responsibility for the parts that they play in their life… We want this life but we are praying that it will happen and when it doesn’t we tend to blame God that he doesn’t want us to have the life of our dreams. And that is so far from the truth.

My questions to you is what are you doing to help make your dream life happen??? You can pray all you want for your life to change, you can say all the positive things but if you are not taking a step forward everyday to the life that you want than you are telling the universe and God that you really don’t want that life. You are telling the universe and God that you are truly happy with your current life.

We as people like to make excuses on why we can’t achieve something or do something and I am here to tell you that it is just an excuse….I hear people tell me all the time they want to make a million dollars but when it comes down to putting the work in they have an excuse on why they cannot do the work.

When that happens I find that people start to say things like, so and so is lucky that why their life is so wonderful. Why has God blessed them with a great life? The answer is simple, It’s because they see the life that they wanted, they told the universe and God that is the life that they wanted and they started to take the steps forward to achieve that life. And in return the universe and God said okay they are working towards this dream life and I am going to help them achieve it by putting people who can help them in their lives. I will help them get everything they need to reach their goals in this dream life.

Another thing that people do is. if they don’t get the answers NOW they start to doubt and give up on their dreams and then the excuses start up again. The blaming of God and everything around them starts up again.

When the answers you are looking for does not happen NOW than its for a reason and you have to see what is being put in front of you and why….

When I think about the life that I wanted for myself and my family and had no idea how it was going to happen other than faith that the universe and God had my back I kept reminding myself of this.

The sun does not favor a tree or flower and they all grow when the times is right. The universe and God does not favor one person over another, our dreams will come to light when the time is right. But you also have to understand that what you want may not be what you really want and that is why you are not getting it in your life. Or you are not ready for what you want in your life NOW.

So open your hearts and mind to what is offered to you by the universe and God even though it may not be what you want in this very moment because it is a gift for a reason and in the end when you listen and accept what is being given to you all your dreams and hopes will come into your life.

Whopper #4: God Rewards our suffering and gives brownie points for our sacrifices. Form the book E-Square By Pam Grout pg. 35

“God rewards our suffering and gives brownie points for our sacrifices (better known as “life sucks and then you die”). Many of us think life is some sort of boot camp for heaven. We believe this short life span is “only a test” for the paradise we’re eventually going to earn. If we hang on and bear it, we’ll someday walk through those pearly gates and be happy. These errors in thinking have been condensed into living facts. Nothing is plainer than the inevitability of sorrows and trails.

But wat if it isn’t necessary? What if there is no reason to be poor? Or get sick? Or do anything but live an abundant, exciting life? What if these tragic, difficult lives are another rumor made up by the churches and cemented into our consciousness by years and years of conditioning? What I’d like to suggest is that this heaven you’ve waiting for is available now. And that you’ve been sold a bill of goods about who you are and what is possible.” Pg. 35, Form the book E-square by Pam Grout

I have a real hard time to believe that our maker God if that is what you call him or her wants us to live our life suffering to me that tells me that God is cruel and had a sick sense of humor. Because if an angel fell from heaven (as per the story in the Bible) because God loved us so much than why would he want to see us suffer??

Now some may say that we suffer because Adam ate from the tree of Edan. that before he did that we people did not know what suffering is. Or could it possible be that we have a hand in our own suffering because we have been programed to think that suffering now is rewarded later in the after life???

The funny part about this suffering is that I don’t see the churches suffering. They collect offerings and grow bigger and bigger year after year yet the ones that are differing is the people who are giving to the church. Another big question for me is why is it that the church only wants us to believe that they are the only ones that have a connection to God or the higher power? Why are they so special?

In truth they are not, they were born just like you and I and they will die the same way as you and I. That being said why are we not seeking our own connection to the higher power. That right we have been told that we are not worthy of that type of connection only the special ones are. I am calling bull shit on that. We all have the power to connect to our higher being and the energy all around us. When we do that we stop the suffering and pain that we face in the world. Who want to wait for peace and happiness once we are dead. I for one do not want to wait that long.

But wait how do we do that. Here is something that you can try starting now in your life to start to connect with your higher power.

I want you to put out there that you will receive a gift in the next 48 hours. Now you can not name the gift just make that statement and believe that you will receive that gift. Have total faith that it will arrive. Keep in mind that gift can come in many different forms. From an other friend calling you or sending you a message to a physical gift. What ever it is that is coming to you it is for a reason. I also want you to state that you have to know with out a doubt that this gift is your gift that you cannot denied that it is your gift to receive.

Stop rolling your eye and try it and see what happens what do you have to loss NOTHING this will not hurt you it may just change your life around…..Let me know how you made out…

“The FP is a force field that’s equally available to everyone. It’s a natural capacity in all of us, not an exclusive gift bestowed upon a few. In fact, that is the primary lesson Jesus taught. God is within. You are part of God. You can perform miracles.

To worship Jesus the way we do is a little like worshipping Benjamin Franklin because he first discovered electricity. Ben Franklin sent that kite up in an electric storm so we could use the principle he demonstrated. He didn’t do it so we’d build temples to him, paint pictures of him, and wear little commemorative keys around our necks… He wanted us to take the principle of electricity and use it- which we do to run radios and computers and air conditioners. had we stopped with ben’s discovery the way we did with Jesus’s discovery; we’d all be sitting in the dark.

Benjamin Franklin didn't event electricity any more than Jesus invented spiritual principles. Lightning and the resulting electricity have always been available. We just didn’t realize it or know how to access it. Galileo didn’t invent gravity when he dropped the wooden ball off the leaning tower of Pisa. He just demonstrated it.

Likewise, Jesus demonstrated spiritual principles that he wants us to use and develop. We’ve wasted 2,00 years worshipping this idol of him instead of using the principles he taught us. Look through the Bible and nowhere does Jesus day, “Worship me.” His call to us was “Follow me.” There’s a big difference.

By making Jesus out to be a hero, we miss the whole point. Jesus wasn’t saying, “I’m cool. Make statues of me; turn my birthday into a huge commercial holiday.” He was saying, “Here, look what is possible. Look what we humans are capable of.”

Jesus is our brother, our legacy, the guy we’re supposed to emulate.

What Jesus was trying to tell us is that the churches, the religious leaders, and all their blaring rhetoric had drowned out God’s truth. They’ve pulled the wool over our eyes by falling to mention the fact that the FP and a principle by which we should live.” Pg 34–35 from the book E-squared by Pam Grout

This speaks so much truth to me. I have always been fascinated in history and religion. And what I have found is this. People have started wars in the name of God. People have killed other because of what they have believed in just because it was not the same as what they believed. This has happened for millions of years and it still happens today…..

But why if we take the time to listen and take to other about their believes and that is what I have done in the end all believes is the about love. Love everything and everyone around you. If you want to stop hate you do it with love not more hate….

If you want to have your dream life stop hating your current life. I know for some that can be a hard thing to do when you are no money, little of no food, and no place to live. But if you stop and think start to love everything around you more positivity will enter into your life.

It has been proven that you cannot change what you are not will to acknowledge and I know that for me that was true. If we keep ourselves in a state of fear then we close ourselves off to accepting love in our lives….

For me personally I have a had time to believe that we are judge on every little thing that we do wrong. After all, in the end we are all just human and we are going to make mistakes. So that leads me to the question of why does the church scare the shit out of us and make us feel that if we don’t follow the “Good Book” to the letter. We are going to spend the rest of our lives in HELL???

Did you know that there are more than just 10 Commandments. In fact there are 613 of them that we are to follow. But over time as the “Good Book” had been rewritten no one talks about the other 603…. So what does that tell you?

For one it tells me that the book was printed by man and changed as per what it best for people at the time. I do well to remember the 10 Commandments let alone have to remember 613 of them. Hell when I went to school there were never that many rules.

I think we need to believe in a higher power. Some say its “God” because we as humans need to label everything to make it real. But what if we named it source or spirit? Would that be wrong? For some it would be for other not so much.

How can one thing keep track of every person on the earth and know what they are doing at all time. Does that higher power have a check list that he/she/it and their angles mark on everyday about each one of us?? Or could it be that how we think and feel on a daily bases actually makes our world here and the afterlife what it is. Think about that for a moment….

Everyday I get up and I look around at all the beauty and magic around me. I see and feel the energy of the world and others. I know that when I am around some people my energy goes up and the opposite happens when I am around others my energy does down….

When that happens I have to turn to the things around me to build my energy back up. Water, trees, nature in general. So, what that tells me is that we are all connected in one way or another.

If you need to follow the 10 or 613 Commandments to keep you on track than by all means do that. The one thing that I know for sure is when I think and feel good thoughts and my actions are the same my life is better. I am able to connect with the spirit world and the energy that is all around us.

In the end we create the life that we think. You are never wrong in what you believe you are correct either way. If you think this world is full of nothing but hate you are correct because that is all you will see. But if you start to look at the world and everything in it with love then that is what you will see and bring into your life. So you are also correct in how you think……

I want you to try something for a week, its just one week I want you to look at everything and everyone around you with love and see what happens. I promise this will not hurt and I can bet that your week will be amazing and you will not want to look at life any other way.

Whopper # 1: God is a Him

I have been reading this book call e- Squared and I think the whole world should read it. The author is Pam Grout. On pg. 33 She talks about what people tend to believe about God…

I have always had an issue with the way the churched make us feel about our relationship with a higher power. I know there is a higher power but I have always had a hard time to believed that the church keeps everyone in a state of fear when it comes to the higher power (God if that is what you want to call it.)

I also have a hard time to believe that the higher power would be so uncaring and not want everyone to live a happy joyful life. I also have a hard time to believe that if we made mistakes in our lives we are damned to hell….

And that is what the church wants us to believe. Now I am not saying that we all should not live a life where we are kind to others. What I am saying is that just because we in our lives have made mistakes or had unkind thoughts in our minds does not warrant us to live in HELL the rest of our lives.

So in this book Pam talks about the Whooper we (people) have made up about God… I am going to write about each Whopper over the next 8 days and give my thoughts on each one.

“Whopper #1: God is a Him

Even though the progressive churches’ sometimes refer to God as she, the FP = IP(Infinite Potentially) doesn’t really have a gender. We certainly don’t talk about Mrs. Electricity or Mr. Gravity. The more appropriate pronoun would be it. The FP is a forces field that runs the universe, the same energy source that grows flowers, forms scabs over skinned knee's, and constantly pushes for wholeness.

God is more like the force in Star Wars, a presence that dwells within us, a principle by which we live. That’s why Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader have become such a phenomenon. Star Wars is a myth that speaks to us at a dep, gut level, Some part of us knows that “the Force’ is with us and that we, through our words, thoughts, and deeds, create the world. “ Pg 33 of her book

I tend to believe that we are God and God is us. If and this is a big if you believe in the Bible than you know that we were made in Gods image. So, my question has always been if we were made in his image that are we not part of him and he apart of us?

I have never gotten an answer to this question from any church and I probably never will. The one thing that I know for certain is that God is neither he or she. That the spirit world and higher power is all around us, if you are open to seeing it you will see it.

What I do believe is when the church keeps us in fear of going to hell if we walk a bit sideways once in awhile. I do believe that if we were not part of the higher power and it of us than nothing and no one would be alive to talk and fight about whos right and whos wrong. We are all correct in what we believe is true for us…….

In the end for me personally I know that there is a higher power and that we are part of it and it is a part of us. When we take that knowledge and start to look around we see all the magic this life has to offer each and everyone of us.
