  • Guest Mix: DJ SVYATOPOLK
One of the remaining member of defunct Savyolovskiy Street Crew in Moscow still living and participating in the community around Savyolovskiy, DJ Svyatopolk recently popped back up on the Hard Vapour Resistance Front with SAVYOLOSKY PASSAGE. In addition to the EP, DJ Svyatopolk has stitched together an hour and a half of unknown and underground Russian and Moscow artists including Savyoloskiy Street Crew members Холодный Цельси, Seratonov, Kush Response and DJ Rurik. It's easily immersive and physically taxing in an absolutely incredible way.
From the artist: "I have made the mix thinking of times when you have been out yesterday and wake up when it is already dark and have a ticket for more dancing today. When the energy is up and down inside and you have anxiety when you make walk to the party. It feels strange but soon you do more dancing because gabba is a love. When I leave in the morning, Savyolvsky area is always changing with new buildings and roads. I hear the construction and birds and see the old people taking morning walks."

  • Guest Mix: Tendencies
In 14 minutes, I gotta trudge through Friday New York City rush hour going to Atlantic City. My best pal is my boss now and he's going with me... and won't let us leave EARLY to beat the rush hour. "That's unrealistic. We have too much to prepare for here." I've done nothing since I got back from Popeye's, where I saw this gal in all black rip at this other girl's afro over popcorn shrimp.
What I need is a good pump up. Last week, the FRR! FRR! mix just fulfilled my life's sporadicness -- not to mention David sent that sucker to TMT outta nowhere. This week, Tendencies blessed us with the pump in mix2. Who's ready throw they's fist in the air? Sun roofs drawn. Boogieboards at the ready. Let's bang it out!

  • Guest Mix: DJ David Coquelin (PRR! PRR!)
DJ David Coquelin (PRR! PRR!) is prolific. I first heard 100% PRROMO! at my old job and was super turned off. Then JE M'EN TAPE came in the mail, so I back-to-backed the two releases and entered into another dimension. I was transported in a realm of pure control that was almost portrayed as completely nonchalant chaos. So, I reached out to PRR! PRR!, even before covering or letting (the) David(s) know I had anything to do with music coverage/reviewing. Maybe I was the only one to reach out. But it was an honor when they replied to me with their all their creative-sound thoughts. Which, to sum up what they said, simply: "We have fun, yes?"
Look, not even six minutes into FRR! FRR! Vol. 2 (follow up to FRR! FRR! Vol. 1, listeners can hear a dog barking. A DOG BARKING!!! At first, I was certain DJ David Coquelin did this as a measurable joke because (1) he probably wasn't happy with our coverage of the release so far, and (b) he doesn't like the idea of "guest mixes." Well, Monet Maker predicted this to the T: there are bagpipe techno beats in FRR! FRR! Vol. 2. Or generally how Coquelin is completely drawing on hard psychedelic tropes, blatantly throwing off listeners into a mental treasure-hunt of sounds, and being so nonchalant about it all is complete, to me. Words (minced, of course)....
Here is the FRR! FRR! Vol. 2 mixtape made especially for TMT. It follows the FRR! FRR! Vol. 1 by Cloarec started on Unlocked Youth platform and it is all about FRRench stuffs [EDITOR'S NOTE: *boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA-boom-tss-KAKA*]
This one is almost 100% new & early Frenchcore / Tekstyle / French Hardtek from French producers but also with producers from other countries who represent Frenchcore : DJ Elekid (Chicago), Weasel Busters (Czech), The Speed Freak (Holland), Teknoist (UK)…
Adding to this: stories, crazy skits, bad drops, modified musical notes, cheap tricks (destroy wise culture ;-)
The Vol. 3 will be made by an another person close to PRR! PRR! and for an another platform.
    --David & Fregant
PS : the guy on the cover says: We are "high" my friend "CHÉPÈRE" is the reverse word of PERCHER which means above/stoned. it is also the mountain-guy that the journalist talks about at the end of the mix.

  • Guest Mix: WWWINGS
Very stoked to bring y'all this week's TMT Guest Mix entitled Liturgy from WWWINGS. The first time TMT caught wind from WWWINGS was when the production team flipped three tracks on TAR in the EP, BLESSED. Then this year, listeners got a taste of WWWINGS on PURPLE TAPE PEDIGREE's Savage Remix EP, a re-editing (sorta) of Endgame's Savage. Last week of June, SWAN MEAT dropped a TMT Guest Mix featuring the wood-chopping track, "COHERENT" by WWWINGS, which got everyone prepared for the impending announcement of their new release on Planet Mu Records, PHOENIXXX this August 19. However, out this month on PURPLE TAPE PEDIGREE, WWWINGS is turning out the ultra violent CHIMERA EP on Jully 22. What more do you want?? A soul crushing guest mix? Well, it's below and about to make your week.

  • Guest Mix: CINDYS TAPES
CINDYS TAPES is a relatively newish record label from jolly old France. They've been on my radar since their first tape, and with each subsequent release, they have only furthered their fine curation of underground beat/collage producers with limited runs of cassettes and ultra-modern digital options. And while yet another label focusing on beat-tapes may sound trite, CINDYS TAPES have something truly special going on.
Upon request, the boys divvied up an exquisite mix of nuanced slappers and bangers alike, all for your listening pleasure. Featuring a few CINDYS TAPES alumni as well as various other underground/above-ground heads, seep right into its noddy comfort.

  • Guest Mix: Swan Meat
Similar to Juliana Huxtable and Boychild, SWAN MEAT (a.k.a. Reba Beauchamp) maintains an intriguing and seamless cross-over appeal from fine-art and literature to music. The first of Reba's works that TMT covered was last year's "NECESSITY OF FOREPLAY," comprised of glitched noises knotting a variety of mingling sounds and samples, portraying non-binary flips of male hygiene. Earlier this year, SWAN MEAT introduced a bit of fried club in the form of "RENDER/TRIGGER," beholding the vapidness of NON and Halcyon Veil, and awkward dance-floor vibes by M.E.S.H. Most recently, YOSHITAKA HIKAWA collaborated with SWAN MEAT on "BX3 HEADSPACE," developing sonic confrontation on the collaborative edit.
TMT found out SWAN MEAT has a release popping on TAR soon, too, so in celebration of Reba's incredible artistic pursuits AND out of excitement for her upcoming release, SWAN MEAT boosted up with a guest mix titled MARROW. Enjoy the mix and this weekend!

  • Guest Mix: Deathbomb Arc
For nearly two decades, Deathbomb Arc has been at the forefront of various experimental musics, dropping bold, challenging releases that have proved well ahead of their time. Some of the label's better-known artists include Xiu Xiu, Deerhoof, clipping., and Black Pus (Lightning Bolt's Brian Chippendale), but it's also responsible for acclaimed underground releases by artists like Foot Village, Cock E.S.P., Gang Wizard, and Yellow Swans, as well as early music from the likes of Elysia Crampton (as E&E), Julia Holter, and Death Grips.
Deathbomb Arc continues on strong. The label recently announced the debut album from rap group True Neutral Crew (ft. Signor Benedick The Moor, Margot Padilla, and label head Brian Kinsman) and a joint release with Sub Pop for clipping.'s new full-length, due in the fall.
TMT hit up Deathbomb Arc, specifically Brian Kinsman (True Neutral Crew, ex-Foot Village, ex-Gang Wizard, artist/writer), for a guest mix, which has resulted in this monster of a release called 18 Years of Experimental Hip-Hop. True to its title, the mix focuses on the label's experimental hip-hop side, much of which is not available on Bandcamp or iTunes.
Read Brian's description below, followed by the mix itself. And be sure to check out Deathbomb Arc's limited bundle of experimental hip-hop, which features Death Grips, clipping., Captain Ahab, Signor Benedick The Moor, They Hate Change, and more ($75 worth of music for $25!).
1998. From my room in a Berkeley duplex shared with fellow musicians Miguel Mendez and Joel Jerome, I started Deathbomb Arc in order to put out music from a favorite local act, Turbine, I thought didn't get enough love and support. I figured the name of the label should just reflect some of the various things I was into. "Death" as a reference to Metal. Bomb as a reference to Hip-Hop. Arc, as in electrical, for an obtuse electronic music reference. I quickly learned that those just primarily trying to market and sell music hate things that break the norm. Ameoba Records didn't want to carry my first release because it was "confusing" that it contained both rock and electronic elements - a statement that seems absolutely absurd now. Of course, a decade and a half later I'd be told the same sort of thing about clipping.'s combination of noise and rap. And 100% of the time, people with these fearful, conservative thoughts are on the wrong side of history. Unfortunately, the gates of the industry are typically guarded by such cowards. Deathbomb Arc has always been about smashing those gates down, and maybe even becoming a better example of a gatekeeper ourselves.
We've never solely been about hip-hop, but it has always been an important part of who we are. My own band, back in 1998, Rose For Bohdan raised eyebrows for even just splashing hip-hop ideas onto experimental pop. The early side of 00's saw Deathbomb Arc release tribute comps to both No Limit Records and Cash Money (I actually got hate mail a few times saying that associating these labels with punk was an insult to punk music. Fucking racists, I tell you). By the time indie press decided it was okay to embrace hip-hop in the 10's, then suddenly noise rap was too weird for them (let's not forget that Pitchfork tried to write off Death Grips as Limp Bizkit style rap rock before they got signed to a major). Perseverance has not necessarily proven to be a solution, but with 18 years under Deathbomb's belt now, I've at least seen some pretty amazing things happen for some truly groundbreaking artists. It remains an honor to work with so many talented people.
Here is a mix showing just some of the experimental hip-hop we've gotten to be involved with over the years - including three never before heard tracks from upcoming Deathbomb Arc releases: Dialer (a new project ft. William Hutson of clipping.), the debut True Neutral Crew full length (ft. Signor Benedick The Moor), and the 2nd album from the angelic Hareld. Some true long lost gems here as well!!

  • GUEST MIX: COCAINEJESUS
The first instance I had of COCAINEJESUS was talking with HKE about a track they collaborated on entitled, "FLESH." Then, We're Worried About You dropped on Dream Catalogue and it reminded me about how much I do-but-don't want to kill myself all the time. Like, in a good way, because it helps my heartbeat slow a tick and work on mathematics rather than spelling games. Next on the COCAINEJESUS lineage was the interview homie-Marcel conducted with the producer and Marcel gets some wacked-out answers at times on his site, so shit is intriguing, so READ IT! Last Friday I fucked with a four-way release COCAINEJESUS dropped three-tracks on, had to snag his Twitter handle, and saw he was listed as living in Cincinnati, where my wife was born. So I opened a convo with COCAINEJESUS, we joshed, and now THE SUMMER HEART BREAK MIX is alive. Scope it below and enjoy the weekend!
