Why is asking for assistance or expressing emotions as a man viewed as him being weak? Why must we always be almost stoic like? The stigma surrounding men expressing their emotions is disheartening and, in extent, dehumanizes us. When we express them we are either viewed as soft, it gets brushed aside, or used as ammo against us. We are fighting a battle with little to no allies. Communicating how you feel inside shouldn't be exclusive for women and children. We, men, have feelings as well. Allow us that safe space to unravel, to unpack them without it being held against us. Allow us to be.
