Tip of the Nip

Today we look back, to all the book we loved before. A retrospective of the books we read and loved when we were younger, and what led us to the full fledged romantasy obsession that now has us in a chokehold. (And we don't want it to let go...)

This time, we delve into Shield of Sparrows & Rite of the Starling, by Devney Perry. Major talking points include:

-our shared hatred for the miscommunication trope

-p.o.s. abandoning father figures

Do we have a lot to say? Yes.

Is it all positive? No.

Will we read Book #3? Of course.

I know you're very surprised... our unplanned episode became an SJM conspiracy theory rant.

But as we continue our TOG re-read, and get hype af for ACOSH, we're kinda all consumed by Fae, the Daglan/Asteri, the Valg, and WTF is coming next!

Yep, we did it. Went three for three, to complete our Crescent City re-read/deep dive.

Elizabeth feels vindicated, as Teresa acknowledges a simple truth - Crescent City is criminally underrated. JUSTICE FOR BRYCE.

In a rare moment, we went for back-to-back topics, continuing our Crescent City re-read/re-hash with House of Sky and Breath.

Not Elizabeth's favorite, tho any book with Bryce Quinlin beats out pretty much any other book ever.

We wander off into the SJM universe. But, to be fair, we've only ever promised jibber jabber. And we delivered.

This week, we start our Crescent City deep-dive, with House of Earth and Blood. We may or may not also delve into foreshadowing and overarching series thoughts... But we do our best to stay on topic 😅
