The human race has many defining features that make us into unique individuals, from the color of our skin to our sexual preferences and lifestyles. But sometimes the same things that make us unique can also be the same things that either unite us, or divide us. In some cases, our differences can cause intense hatred of one another, simply due to one of these features. Such is the world we live in, a culmination of beauty and beasts colliding in an ever constant war on ourselves. So why do some of us feel the need to discriminate against each other based on such things like skin color, sexuality, gender, or age? What do we think needs to happen in order for the world to finally accept one another? And what can science tell us about the cause of racism, homophobia, sexism, and ageism? In today’s episode, we’re going to discuss these topics, our opinions on the matter, and address key moments in time related to such matters in this introspective episode of Tipplers’ Two Cents.
