Roger Dunn golf shops could be , at least on the west coast of the USA , the model for the modern day golf super store.  That business concept was new to me when I moved to Southern California in the mid 1990s.  Used to spend hours in the West Covina location on Friday afternoons just learning about equipment and hitting balls into nets.
