Genevieve George - In 2012 Gen launched OneShift on the back of a free blog and nothing but posters, duck tap and an iPad. Within the space of 3.5 years, OneShift now has over 700,000 users, 40,000 businesses across Australia / NZ and received $5 million of investment in 2013.
More recently Gen and the OneShift team have launched Skilld.com, a web based platform that uses big data and machine learning to connect businesses with the best local talent, based on both how good they are likely to be at the role, and how likely they are to be a good culture fit. In only a couple of months, Skilld has signed multi million dollar deals with the likes of CCIQ and many other connections with thousands of Small businesses including, Mantra Group, Coffee Club, Sonoma, Accor and Bondi Pizza.
Gen also co-leads several women in business and tech initiatives, including 'Women In Tech Australia' and the global group Like Minded Bitches Drinking Wine (LMBDW), a group for entrepreneurial women which has achieved over 18,000 members in 12 months. Which has now hold monthly events in every major city in Australia as well as SF, NYC, London, Dublin, LA, Hong Kong and many more to come in 2017.
She works with all levels of Government to support and connect start-ups, SME’s and corporate to assist each other to think and grow globally. This is achieved through partnerships with Boston Consulting Group, Council of Small Business Australia and as a member of the Entrepreneurs Organization and Young Presidents Organisation.
