Giltner has provided an eye for the details and none of that came more to fruition than the breakout season of Keve Aluma, a transfer from Wofford, who took his game to another level (8 ppg in 2018-19), averaging 15 points and eight rebounds per game on his way to an All-ACC season in 2020-21. In his first season in Blacksburg, Giltner was the special assistant to the head coach and played an integral role, as Tech broke the ACC and school record of most 3-pointers made in a game (21) and upset then-No. 3 Michigan State.
