He taught for 12 years in the Philippines. His teaching career in the United States of America started at University Middle School in Waco, Texas; then, he moved to Charles Rice Learning Center in Dallas, Texas. He worked with the Dallas Independent School district in different capacities as a teacher, Math Demonstration Teacher, Tiered-teacher Training Specialist, Compliance Specialist for Title One, New Teacher Support & Mentoring Coordinator, and Math Coordinator for the Alternative Teacher Certification Program. He briefly left Dallas Independent School District and worked as Title One coordinator for Garland Independent School District managing federal budgets for schools. After a year, he went back to Dallas Independent School District to teach first grade, then became the Math Campus Instructional Coach, and now the assistant principal of Julius Dorsey Leadership Academy.
