In our last episode of Season 5: Working Girls, we dive deep into the 2006 flick The Devil Wears Prada trying to find some romance. We obviously spend a lot of time praising Meryl Streep and discussing all the fashion and conclude that, in spite of recent internet claims, Nate (Adrian Grenier) is in fact *not* the villain.

This week we talk about another great romantic comedy released in the year of 2002: Two Weeks Notice, the Marc Lawrence flick starring Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant. We discuss some of our favorite romcom tropes, share our favorite lines from this witty screenplay and - unfortunately - relate to Lucy’s stomach problems.

Season 5: Working Girls -

We’re throwing it back to 2002 with the Reese Witherspoon/Patrick Dempsey/Josh Lucas romcom Sweet Home Alabama. We talk about proposals, engagement rings, country boys and how cute Ethan Embry is as Bobby Ray. Kiley teaches Bel a thing or two about Hallmark movies and, of course, we laugh a lot.

Season 5: Working Girls -

This week we’re talking about Always Be My Maybe, co-written by and co-starring Ali Wong and Randall Park. We discuss the trope “friends turned lovers” and our ability (or lack thereof) to relate to it, we muse about Keanu Reeves’ real-life personality and ask each other some obscure trivia questions.

It’s time for a new season, and this time we’ll be talking about Working Girls *cue Cher - Working Girl.mp3*! We’re starting it off with the hilarious 2018 Netflix Original Set It Up, written by Katie Silberman and directed by Claire Scanlon. We discuss Zoey Deutch’s and Glen Powell’s charisma, we celebrate some of the incredible women involved in the making of this flick and, of course, share some good laughs.

It’s our season 4: Julia Roberts finale, and we’re discussing the 2011 flick Larry Crowne, written, directed and starred by Tom Hanks. We talk about how sweet the essence of the film is, we laugh a lot and there’s even a special appearance by Bel’s dog.

This week we’re breaking down the flick that reunited Julia Roberts, Richard Gere and Garry Marshall, the 1999 romcom Runaway Bride. We have a lot of fun discussing all of the callbacks to previous (and future) Marshall films and we even try to rewrite a bit of this one… Well, sort of.
