Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. Was gay marriage okay with Jesus? Well, Jesus himself defined marriage, and left no room for counterfeits, like marriages based on the crime against nature. In Mark 10, Jesus defined marriage as the union of one man and one woman, period.. “A man” - that’s one man - shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife” - that’s one woman - “And the two shall become one flesh.” In the act of marital intimacy, a husband and a wife merge together in a one-flesh union, something that is impossible in homosexuality. Homosexual marriage is a counterfeit, a shabby, grubby imitation of the real thing. We should not settle for gay marriage any more than we should settle for counterfeit currency. If you support homosexual marriage, your problem is not with the religious right, it is with Jesus himself.
