On today’s podcast we have the wonderful Geoff Smith. Geoff holds a Master of Education, an MBA and postgraduate certificates in management and leadership. He is a teacher with over 20 years experience and an educational leader in schools for at-risk youth. He is the author of the book, ‘4 Pillars: Creating A Life On Your Terms’ that focuses on enhancing levels of wellbeing.
What I personally love about this conversation is the beautiful flow that Geoff and I had between each other. There are some really magical moments on this podcast when I have a guest who is easy to connect with and on a similar wavelength. Our conversation spans the 4 Pillars of Health, Wealth, Relationships and Mindset. We discuss the power of focusing on what you can control, on enhancing your awareness around your internal conversation and how to open yourself up to the abundance and opportunity that we call life. We discuss the power of rituals and habits, how to overcome setbacks and most importantly how to best create a life on your terms!
Please enjoy this conversation with the lovely Geoff Smith.

On today’s podcast we have the exceptional Jenna Kutcher. Jenna is a born-and-raised Minnesota wife, mother, and entrepreneur. She’s helped thousands redefine success and chase bold dreams through her decade-long work as a leading online personality and educator. She is the host of ‘The Goal Digger’ Podcast and author of her new book, ‘How Are You, Really?’
What I personally love about this conversation is Jenna’s spectacular energy! Jenna has this incredible way of connecting with you as if you are just a couple of friends having a conversation about what’s best for you; except your friend is a complete boss girl who is absolutely world class at what she does! We cover so much in this episode! From the concept of ‘identity foreclosure’ and why people are so afraid to change, to decision making and this partnership between Google and the gut. We talk about authenticity, vulnerability, self-love and confidence. And we discuss the power in asking the hard questions, like how are you, really?
Having Jenna on the To Be Human podcast is a big personal achievement of mine since creating this podcast just over a year ago. I got up at an early or late 1:00am for the recording of this episode, and it really showed me how this creative pursuit on the side is transforming into more of a committed lifestyle and mission.
Please enjoy this fun loving conversation with the beautiful Jenna Kutcher.

Book: Self-Love Bible | https://amzn.to/3QW3nqu
On today’s podcast we have the wonderful Ariella Nyssa. Ariella is on a mission to challenge mainstream perceptions of beauty. At the age of 18 Ariella, after growing up in a strict church community, having been married and divorced, found herself traumatised and suffering from body dysmorphia. It wasn’t until she connected with a supportive community on Instagram that a whole new world opened up for her. Now inspiring more than 700,000 followers with her message of body confidence and self-love. She is the author of the new book, ‘Self-Love Bible’ which is all about understanding, loving and celebrating the most important person in your life: you!
What I personally love about this conversation is the energy and purpose behind it. Ariella is all about the message of being beautiful no matter your mistakes, no matter society's expectations of appearance. It’s all about appreciating your body for what it does for you, not just what it looks like. Life to Ariella is all about learning, all about growing; life is about the journey to self-love.
Please enjoy this conversation with the beautiful Ariella.

On today’s podcast we have the lovely Nita Sweeney. Nita is a certified meditation leader, mental health advocate and ultramarathon runner. She is the award-winning author of the running and mental health memoir, ‘Depression hates a moving target’.
What I personally love about this conversation is Nita’s beautiful openness, vulnerability and authenticity. Nita will share transparently that for a lot of her life she has genuinely felt like her mind was trying to kill her, and it is in this conversation that she shares more about that experience, and in how she has learnt over time, to not only manage this but move through this. She shares techniques that have worked for her in overcoming negative thoughts that do go as deep as suicide ideation and personally one of my favourites is in the power of pause, and understanding not every thought you have needs to be met with action. She also shares her experience of taking up running and how that resulted in her decreasing her antidepressants which began the journey of her becoming a respected mental health advocate.
Please enjoy this conversation with the lovely Nita.

What I personally love about this conversation is Mark’s enthusiasm and articulation. He shares so much wisdom throughout this podcast that I know many of you in listening he will speak directly too. It’s one of those conversations where you think, ‘that is me and that is what I need to do’. Which then plays into what he shares about the superpower of decision-making when it comes to long-term change. On today’s podcast we have the beautiful Tom. Tom is an entrepreneur, co-founder of sustainable retail concept Blaek store, and photographer. He is a global advocate for the Seabin Project for cleaner oceans, an outdoor enthusiast and is what he terms an ‘eco runner’, having just signed on as an Australian Ambassador for Salomon.
What I personally love about this conversation is Tom’s endearing personality. Tom originally came on the podcast to talk about Project Run Forever; a project in which he ran for 34 hours and has to date raised an incredible $25,000 for the Seabin Foundation. I’ll leave a link in the description if you would like to donate! We did discuss this, and there are a lot of mindset gems shared from his ultramarathon experience, but what was surprising was how deep his self-love goes. These days you see all over social media these aspirations of self-love, but Tom genuinely and wholly lives it. He shares an intimate mantra of his that he lives by that personally went deep for me, and I have no doubt will impact you too. Words are just words, unless you live them. And when you live them they indeed become you. The question I do pose as you listen to this podcast is, what words do you live by and are they aligned with who you want to be?
Please enjoy this wonderful podcast with the wonderful Tom.

Book: Assisted Dying | https://amzn.to/3GtSibi
On today’s podcast we have the lovely Dr Stefanie Green. Dr Green is a pioneer in medically assisted dying who helps patients who are suffering to explore and then fulfil their end of life choices. She is the author of the new book, ‘Assisted: A doctor’s story of assisting death and embracing life.
What I personally love about this conversation is Dr Green’s openness and vulnerability in the context of being a physician who administers assisted dying. It indeed is a tender space, in which she offers insight into the ‘extraordinary’ moments that are shared with both patients and families before the administration. We speak about very intimate moments for Dr Green that inspire her to reflect on what is important in life, particularly around the concepts of presence and meaning, and also in the realm of being able to say sorry and forgive. And we also discuss the controversy around physicians such as Dr Green who truly believe that this is a role of service; of giving, and not that of taking. Please enjoy this conversation with Dr Stefanie Green.

Some of his career highlights are: in 1999 he ran 14,662km in 191 days around Australia, in 2011/12 he ran 20,000km from the North Pole to the South Pole, averaging running 80km per day over 10 months and 13 days. In 2012/13 Pat ran 3200km, the length of Vietnam, in 2014 he ran 1450km in 19 days across the Middle East and in 2016 ran 4417km in 65 days across India all in creating awareness for peace, friendship and education. Pat also served as a Member of Australia’s Parliament for 8 years. He has been awarded ‘Achiever of the Year’ by the then Prime Minister, John Howard, and National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year, and has raised millions of dollars for causes over the space of his 30-year running career.
What I personally love about this conversation is Pat’s absolute passion and zest for life. In this episode you will truly feel the energy of Pat inspiring you to live every moment to its fullest. He is a man that has stretched the imagination of what humans can achieve and really leans into the notion that nothing is impossible. We explore the mindset behind Pat’s great successes and one statement I will personally take from this conversation is: ‘The guy that is prepared to lose everything, wins.’ His words are powerful and I have no doubt, after this episode you will be questioning what more you can be doing in this lifetime. Enjoy this conversation with the wonderful Pat Farmer.

On today’s podcast we have the wonderful Eric Maisel. Eric is a retired family therapist, now regarded as America’s foremost creativity coach. He is a developer of a philosophy of life called Kirism and is the author of over 50 books, including ‘Lighting The Way’, ‘Redesign Your Mind’ and ‘Fearless Creating’.
What I personally love about this conversation is our depth of exploration into meaning and purpose. I feel meaning and purpose are both experiences that are necessary for a fulfilling life, but are indeed experiences that we don’t always feel in touch with. So it is in this conversation that I really get Eric to be specific about how we can become more informed and take action. We also explore creativity, and discuss some strategies that I can say personally are integrating as we speak into my own life on how to show up, deliver and maintain consistency in that.
Please enjoy this conversation with the lovely Eric.

On today’s podcast we have the wonderful Nick Butter. Nick is an endurance athlete, motivational speaker and ultramarathon runner; best known for being the first person to run a marathon in every country being 196 marathons in 674 days covered in his book, ‘Running The World’. Most recently Nick became the fastest person to run around the coast of Britain after completing 200 marathons in an incredible 128 days! All up Nick holds 8 world records with 2 world firsts.
What I personally love about this conversation is Nick’s beautiful humility. Nick has been on a lot of podcasts in his time, so I thought to take this opportunity to get to know him personally on a deeper level. The trajectory of Nick’s life changed when he was told by a now good friend, Kevin Webber, who appeared on episode 5 of the To Be Human podcast and has terminal prostate cancer, to not ‘wait for a diagnosis’. This spurred a new path for Nick that took him into a new depth of experience of endurance and contribution. We speak intimately about the effects these experiences have had on Nick, through witnessing confronting poverty, to understanding the power of human connection, to recently exploring the idea of how to balance relationships with the commitment for high achievement. Nick has an openness about him and his story that is certainly endearing and inspiring.
Please enjoy this conversation with Nick Butter.
