Pursuit of a goal shouldn’t be because of a lack in us, but driven by our passion or our dreams for our future. The constant push to have something we don’t in the 21st century is symbolised by the fact that you can even purchase bot followers and likes on Instagram. We want to feel equal to other ‘popular’ people. Placing focus on what we don’t have is destructive to us. Our community looks to members of the church. They are looking at our character before they listen to our words.

In the days referred to in the book of Acts, the disciples chased after the teachings of God. As our great passion is to become Jesus’ disciples we need to immerse ourselves entirely in Him as they did thousands of years ago. George speaks of developing a relationship with Jesus and the power in being in the community of Jesus Christ.

Do you spend time with Jesus? It is absolutely vital to do this: ‘He who you hang around is he who you become like’. In ancient times disciples of a rabbi would go as far as imitating their leader’s limp or lisp. How well do we carry out our mandate to be imitators of Christ? Are we recognised as people who have spent time with Jesus?

How do we show the people in our world who Jesus is? George speaks of the Holy Spirit and the way He can come through us, speaking the language of those around us.

We are ambassadors of Jesus. Our mission on earth is to reconcile people to God. There is no other worldview that gives a coherent answer to the big questions everybody has in life: Where did I come from? Why am I here? What’s the difference between right and wrong? It's the name of our podcast but what does it mean for us in a practical sense? We aren't spared the pain that life brings us, but even tragedy can bring good to our lives and the lives of others when we live and exude the presence of Jesus.

What could happen if we asked God to shake us and change us so that we can reach even one person for Christ? If we are in relationship with our neighbours, our lives are an example to them. Are we showing them Jesus in how we handle adversity and good times alike?

When we are in covenant with God He is pleased with us full stop. There is no force in all of the universe that can remove you from the love of God - except for you. George speaks about developing an experience of the love of God. This is for you, but also for those around you to see and feel it too. George also talks about denial and deliverance in our lives.
