  • Imagery in Motion: Todd Colby on Art and Poetry

In this electric and deeply thoughtful conversation, I sit down with poet, visual artist, performer, and creative provocateur Todd Colby to explore the space where poetry, collage, music, performance, and public art collide.

Todd is the author of seven books of poetry, including Brilliant Juice, and his visual work has been exhibited at venues including the Met Cloisters, White Columns, PULP Gallery, and the Hammond Museum. As a performer, he has brought his kinetic and unforgettable reading style to spaces such as MoMA PS1, Dia Art Foundation, The Poetry Project, The Public Theater, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He was also the frontman of the experimental post-punk band Drunken Boat, where art, music, and rebellion became one living practice.

Together, we talk about anonymous sticker poems left throughout New York City and Northampton, altered postcards, punk rock energy, ghosts, grief, performance as channeling, and the power of paying attention to the beauty and absurdity of everyday life.

  • Play Like a Girl: June Millington on Writing Rock History

In this episode, I sit down with legendary guitarist, songwriter, producer, author, and Fanny co-founder June Millington for a powerful conversation about music, identity, resistance, and the sacred force of women making sound together.

June shares stories from her childhood in the Philippines, the moment she first heard the sound of an acoustic guitar, and how music became a bridge into belonging after moving to California in the 1960s.

Together, we explore Fanny’s groundbreaking place in rock history, what it means to “play like a girl,” and how June continues to mentor the next generation of young women musicians through the Institute for the Musical Arts in Goshen, Massachusetts.

This conversation is about sound as devotion, creativity as healing, and the courage to turn up the volume when the world tells you to stay quiet.

  • The Art of Belonging: Community, Creativity, and Courage

In this episode, I sit down with artist and curator Dean Brown for a rich and grounding conversation about belonging, creativity, and the courage to share your voice.

Dean is an artist and the Director of PULP, a contemporary art gallery in Holyoke, Massachusetts. His work spans sculpture, photography, and drawing, and has been exhibited nationally and reviewed in The New York Times, Art in America, and Paper Magazine. His recent series transforms discarded materials—objects found on the street and vintage book covers—into deeply resonant works exploring memory, resilience, and reimagined possibility.

We talk about his journey from serving as Chief Photographer at the Brooklyn Museum to founding PULP in 2019, a vibrant hub that now hosts exhibitions for local, national, and international artists, and participates in the Outsider Art Fair in New York City.

What unfolds is a conversation about intuition in the creative process, the stories held within materials, and how community is something we actively create together.

What I love most is this reminder: belonging isn’t something we wait for; it’s something we build, together, through presence, courage, and connection.

  • Our Perfect Us: Authenticity as the True Perfection in Love

Love isn’t meant to be perfect—it’s meant to be real.

In today’s episode, Our Perfect Us: Authenticity as the True Perfection in Love, I’m joined by Tamara Thompson, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Reiki Master, hypnotherapist, and artist whose life is rooted in helping others return to their most authentic selves.

After experiencing profound loss, infidelity, and a life-changing turning point in her 30s, Tamara left a corporate career in accounting to follow her calling—earning her degree from Iona University and building a heart-centered practice in NYC. For over 15 years, she’s guided couples and individuals toward deeper self-awareness, conscious relationships, and embodied love through both clinical and spiritual modalities.

Her work reminds us: authenticity is the true perfection. When we give ourselves permission to be fully seen, we create relationships that are honest, healing, and alive.

  • Trusting the Journey: Surrendering to Your Path

What if the feelings you spent your life brushing off were actually guidance?
What if the things you called “too emotional” or “just spidey senses”… were your gift?

In this episode, James O. Joseph—now known as The Unintentional Psychic and owner of the Phoenix Rising Synergy Center—opens up about his unexpected spiritual awakening and the years he spent resisting the path that was calling him.

As a kid, James was drawn to psychic fairs and the metaphysical, but like many of us, he set those curiosities aside in favor of what seemed like a more “normal” life. That all changed in 2015, when his father passed from a sudden heart attack. What followed was a moment that defied logic: James knew his father had passed before anyone told him.

From that point on, his father continued to connect with him from beyond, guiding him to support his family and helping him rediscover the intuitive abilities he had buried years ago. Then in 2019, a powerful, energetic shift “turned everything up to 11,” unlocking a wave of intuitive awareness and setting James on a path he never expected.

By 2023, he had walked away from his long-running retail business and stepped fully into the spiritual world—as a medium, reader, and guide, completely led by spirit.

This episode is a powerful reminder that surrender isn’t about giving up—it’s about showing up.
Trusting the path. Answering the call.

Whether you’re just waking up to your gifts or standing at the edge of a big leap, James’s story will inspire you to stop resisting and start listening.

  • Listening Across Borders: Music, Art, and the Secret Planet

What if listening could dissolve the idea of borders—not just between countries, but between inner and outer worlds?

In this expansive and intimate conversation, I’m joined by Edo Mor—artist, curator, and co-creator of Secret Planet, a discovery-based music series that operates like a farm share for sound. You don’t select from a menu. You arrive with curiosity. You receive what is offered. You listen.

Edo and his partner Rosario have cultivated a creative life that bridges continents, materials, and frequencies—from kiln-fired glass that holds light like a living ocean to music gatherings that dissolve the very idea of genre. Their work reminds us that creativity is not a product. It’s an ecosystem. It thrives on trust, surprise, and communal presence.

We explore migration as a creative force, glass as a language, listening as belonging, and what it means to tend to culture the way one tends a garden—with care, devotion, and just the right amount of wildness.

  • Imaginary Worlds, Real Change: The Art of Sunny Allis

In this episode, I sit down with trans/non-binary multimedia artist Sunny Allis (they/them) about imagination as a vital, world-shaping force. Sunny is a prolific world-builder whose paintings, sculptures, puppetry, animations, and immersive environments center joy, community, and connection.

Their conversation explores play as a form of resistance, art as a safe and expansive space for identity and emotion, and the wisdom that emerges from working with young creatives. Sunny also shares how collaboration, storytelling, and honoring the full emotional spectrum, including rage, shape both their art and their life.

Trained at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and CalArts, Sunny’s award-winning work—including public installations and the bilingual children’s book Hooray, What A Day! / ¡Viva, Qué Día!—invites us to see imagination not as escape, but as a calling, and a path toward more expansive, connected ways of living.

  • Rooted and Rising: The Inner Work of Collective Liberation

In this episode, I’m joined by the luminous Amihan Jennifer Matias of Kapwa Racial Equity for a deeply grounding conversation on what it means to remember who we are together.

Rooted and Rising: The Inner Work of Collective Liberation invites us into the Filipino concept of kapwa—a knowing that we belong to one another—and into the body as a living archive of ancestral memory, wisdom, and intuition. We talk about decolonization as an inner practice, leading from the body, and how healing unfolds not in isolation, but in community.

This episode is for anyone feeling the quiet (or urgent) call to reconnect with their roots, trust their inner knowing, and remember that liberation is something we do with and for one another.

  • Intuition in Harmony: The Sound of Your Inner Hum

What if the simplest thing you can do—humming—is also one of the most powerful ways to come home to yourself?

In this episode, I’m joined by Bradford Tilden of Crystal Music Healing, an international bestselling author, composer, classical pianist, angelic shaman, and master intuitive vibrational healer specializing in sound, crystals, gemstone healing, and Universal White Time Healing. Bradford is also one of the pioneering teachers of UWT gemstone and energy healing in North America, and he has a gift for activating the mastery within others through inspiration, education, and energetic attunement.

We talk about the moment he realized sound wasn’t just art, but a sacred practice. How a “humming baby” became a lifelong musician and healer. How crystal tones and sacred voice can organize chaos into clarity. And why your voice, even if you think it’s imperfect, might be the most direct pathway to your intuition.

Bradford also shares a simple daily practice you can start right away (hint: the car or the shower), plus a beautiful reminder: if you don’t love the sound of your own voice yet, it’s not a flaw; it's an invitation to healing.

  • Leading with Light: Redefining the Role of Museums

What if museums were more than places to look, but places to feel, question, and heal?

In this episode, I sit down with Siddhartha Shah, John Wieland 1958 Director of the Mead Art Museum, for a rich and illuminating conversation about the evolving role of museums in our society.

Before coming to Amherst, Siddhartha served as Curator of South Asian Art and Director of Education and Civic Engagement at the Peabody Essex Museum, where he led groundbreaking initiatives, making PEM the first sensory-inclusive art museum in the region, and developing bilingual and accessibility programs that significantly expanded who felt welcome in museum spaces. His work there redefined what it means for cultural institutions to serve their communities with empathy, care, and inclusion.

At the Mead Art Museum on the campus of Amherst College, Siddhartha continues to lead with vision and heart, transforming the museum into a dynamic, living classroom, one where art becomes a catalyst for cross-cultural understanding, emotional resonance, and meaningful dialogue. With advanced degrees in art history, psychology, and archaeology, and years spent curating contemporary Hindu and Buddhist art, his approach reflects a rare integration of intellect, spirit, and soul-centered leadership.

Together, we explore art as a form of communion, the importance of critical visual thinking in an image-saturated world, and how museums can hold complex histories while fostering compassion, curiosity, and connection across difference.
