Meet Jean Louise Finch, nicknamed Scout. Six years old at the opening of the novel, this fiery tomboy is hardly the conventional Southern lady, a fact that occasionally gets her into trouble with the more traditionally minded members of the small town of Maycomb, Alabama. But when a black man is accused of raping a white woman and Scout's father is appointed to defend him, Scout begins to see the darker side of her pleasant little town - and to question what it means to live justly in a world torn by race and class distinctions.

More than worth the money
Absolute top quality sidekick to `To Kill a Mockingbird', and a definite must read for anyone looking to experience such a classic to the fullest (regardless of whether your new to the book or giving it a reread, which has been the case for me). I doubt there's many other companion reads for To Kill a Mockingbird out there that are just as good or better than this, especially considering the price. Definitely worth checking out, especially for first-time readers of the book.
Very helpful
Very helpful, a great book and it'll help me a lot for my English class. And an interesting read, thanks!
Get Know To Kill a Mockingbird even Better with the Sidekick
To Kill A Mockingbird: Sidekick to the Novel is an absolute must if you are reading or have read To Kill A Mockingbird or are just looking for a resource to the novel. The Sidekick includes alternate endings, metaphors, symbolism and a possible prequel. Literally everything you need to fully understand the novel and so much more. It was so great to spend more time with the characters, and the sidekick helped me enjoy the novel so much more. The Sidekick is also a great way to stay in the fantasy of the novel even longer.
I highly recommend To Kill a Mockingbird: Sidekick to the Novel.
Very helpful guide
I studied this book when I was at school and never really got into it. When the sequel was published, I decided to go back and have another read of the first book - 30 years later. This time, I decided to buy a companion book to see if that helped - and it really did. I finally saw what all the fuss was about and will be buying To Set A Watchman very shortly!
