Without the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus the Christian church as we know it would never have existed. That means He is the foundation on which it was created and built upon. We all know the importance of the foundation of anything at all. If that foundation is not strong and solid, whatever is built on it will not last long. That's why Jesus spoke about building our lives on the solid rock, meaning on Him, on His word, because He is a solid foundation that will keep our hearts and minds safe and secure for ever.
