Dan is a professional musician who plays standup bass for the San Francisco symphony.

Our conversation ranges from practical stress reducing techniques for performance anxiety, to the important role risk taking plays in making anything beautiful. 

One of my favorite parts was discovering that when symphonic instruments are completely in tune with each other, they are able to pull out sounds from each other that wouldn't otherwise be possible.
