Just a quickie - to get you thinking!

A short Action/Adventure story with a twist. 

The "Minicab Rides Home" in the form you find it here was originally prepared on hard disk and released as a short story on the Amazon Kindle in 2011.

The story started life in about 1984, on a 5 1/4" floppy disk. and was, then, much longer. 

In about 2006, it was transferred to 3 /1/2" floppy, and split into this version - about rags to riches, and using it to get away  - focussing on Action and Adventure - and another version, known at the time as "Elbow Straitens Up" - the character represented by Thomas here, was known as "Elbow" in the other version, which was getting the money, and more about spending it - with a focus on philosophy and culture. 

I read this onto an SD card in the lock down of 2020, and I think my voice is slightly affected by Covid-19.

This is living proof that a good story can outlast technology many times over!
