Sexy, Intelligent, and Fun!
Merlene Saunders is a cynical but determined private investigator. Cody Warren is a seasoned and smoking hot homicide detective. When both become involved in the same murder investigation, each finds ample reason not to trust the other, yet just as many reasons not to be able to resist each other. Learning to trust involves some tough lessons in letting go of the past and listening to the heart. This story is sexy, intelligent, fast paced, and suspenseful!
The laundry had to wait
My plan was to start reading this book while eating lunch, then stop and do a load of laundry. Never happened. Well, the lunch part did, but the laundry's still waiting. The author mixed just the right amount of romance with just the right amount of mystery and humor and I was hooked all the way to the finish. It was a fun and exciting story and I highly recommend it. I can do the laundry tomorrow. Or the next day.
Definitely Worth The Read
Good tight plot and the tension between the hero and heroine was excellent. Had no idea who the killer was until the very end. Superb job. Looking forward to more from this author.

This is a really good book by a new author. It has a lot going on throughout the book to hold your interest and a surprise villain. I am looking forward to her nest book.
