Welcome to the first message in what we pray will be a short series of messages delivered while we are all sheltered in place due to COVID-19. Pastor Gary Barber shared this message from Psalm 91 from his backyard on Sunday, March 22, 2020. Let’s all “shelter in place” in the shelter and shadow of the Most High and the Most Nigh God – our Almighty Heavenly Father. During this time when we cannot host worship services or small groups at our facility we will continue to follow the Lord’s commands in Hebrews 10:23–25: “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate [sharpen] one another to love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another –and all the more as you see the Day [of Jesus‘ return] drawing near.” Therefore, in the coming days to help all of us continue in God’s Word, worship, fellowship, and witness for Christ, we will be expanding our electronic ministries and communications through our website and also by hosting small groups using Zoom. Please visit our website at www.theoaksweb.com for communication updates and to access ministry resources for you, your youth, and your children. Please be sure to read Pastor Gary's special message on COVID-19 found at https://www.theoaksweb.com/covid-19. And finally, we also have literally hundreds of previous messages and worship services from various teachers and services at The Oaks that you can easily access by selecting Playlists, Messages, or Series in the tabs to the right of this box.
