Today on the Daily Brief, we highlight The 2030 Project. The podcast is produced for Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto and explores the poverty reduction strategy in Canada. The federal government presented the intiative in 2015 with a goal of reducing poverty by 50% by the year 2030. Needless to say, COVID-19 has not only staggered that effort, there are more Canadians living in poverty because of the pandemic. This sample of the show is the 11th episode of Season 1, featuring a round table discussion with Daily Bread CEO Neil Hetherington and VP of Research and Advocay, Talia Bronstein. It was recorded on the floor of the food bank's warehouse.
