In this episode, Kru Yai Jenypher Lanthier discusses her love for Muay Thai and achieving your goals in a male dominated industry. She shares how she benefited from allies, the need to work hard before spotting talent and changing lives in the art of both beauty and brutality. Kru Jen sees "how you lead", purpose, empathy and the essence of being a women as vital to leadership. To Kru Jen, Muay Thai teaches a culture of respect, embodiment of Buddhism, consistent and daily growth, and knowing that in difficult times you will get through it.

Kru Jenypher Lanthier opened York Muay Thai in 2010 becoming the first woman to own a Muay Thai school in Ontario. She has 23 years of Muay Thai training, fighting, coaching and officiating.  She won an IKKC California Professional Women’s Flyweight championship in 2005.  Under her leadership at York Muay Thai, she sent competitors to the International Federation of Muay Thai Associations, the school won 3 gold medals at the Nationals and 2 at provincials. Jen was the inaugural President Muay Thai Ontario 2015-2020 and is the Central Regional Director of Muay Thai Canada.

Augusta shares her journey with eating disorders (ED) and now as a ED recovery advocate. Gus is authentically herself on and off stage knowing who she is and recognizing her worth, and she share this message to other young women or ED sufferers.

Augusta is a country rock singer songwriter who splits her time between her home in Nashville and Toronto. Augusta was awarded both songwriter of the year and female artist of the year by the North American Country Music Association International in 2016 and 2017. Augusta has performed twice at Summerfest; The World's Largest Music Festival. In 2019, Augusta was invited to make her debut at the legendary Bluebird Café in Nashville.  Recently Augusta completed a contract as a guitar soloist with Carnival Cruise Line.  ​Along with her love for music, she is proud mental health advocate with a passion for spreading self-love and self-acceptance. This comes from overcoming her own struggles after being diagnosed with an eating disorder as a teen.

In this episode, Melissa Enmore speaks to the importance of education and educators as catalysts supporting children to get closer to living their big dreams.  She describes the importance of learning and growing in world that is forever evolving and the need for the education system to reform and better equip bright minds to be adaptable and think differently. Melissa talks about the expectation to achieve in the Caribbean and the structural and systemic issues affecting learning and health. She advocates and wishes more people would listen and understand that leadership is not a one-size fits all model, data can help identify issues and work towards resolutions, and character can support us to accept and learn to love one another. 

Melissa Enmore is the Co-Founder and Director of The Backpack Project International Program, a non-profit organization that promotes health and education among Caribbean children, and children of the Caribbean diaspora in Toronto, Canada.  She also recently became a published author of the anthology, "21 Resilient Women: Stories of Courage, Growth and Transformation."  Melissa is committed to making a difference in children's lives, one backpack at a time. Melissa obtained her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Toronto, her Masters in International Public Health from the University of Queensland and is currently a psychology doctorate student.

She is fluent in English, Spanish and French and holds a degree in Political Science from Concordia University, a Certificate in International Affairs from Science Po Paris, a Certificate of U.S. Immigration from Washington College of Law. She is currently a Human Systems Intervention Masters Candidate at Concordia University while she is also pursuing a degree in Law at the University of Montreal.

Bernard Abarquez is an athlete committed to a state and condition of being “fit” both physically and mentally. He has a background in digital media and fine arts and a passion for breakdancing. Bernard is actively involved in Toronto's running community.  In 2021, in honour of his 42nd birthday, Bernard created Project 42, a task that had him running 42 marathons, 1 marathon a week for 42 weeks. In this episode Donna Thomson shares her experience with caregiving and how her journey has shaped her views on leadership. Donna Thomson is a caregiver, author and advocate.  Her experience was shaped by caring for her son who has cerebral palsy and for her mother who died at age 96 after living the last part of her life with dementia. Donna is the co-author (with Dr. Zachary White) of The Unexpected Journey of Caring: The Transformation of Loved One to Caregiver (Rowman & Littlefield, 2019) and author of The Four Walls of My Freedom: Lessons I’ve Learned From a Life of Caregiving (The House of Anansi Press, 2014). Donna is a co-designer and co-instructor of The Family Engagement in Research Course and the facilitator of the Caregiving Essentials Course both at McMaster University. Donna is a co-author of Time to be counted: COVID-19 and intellectual and developmental disabilities—an RSC Policy Briefing  and for the Ontario Ministry of Health, Donna sat on The Expert Group on Home and Community Care and on the Working Group on Complex Care for Adults with Developmental Disabilities.
