Here's a brief description of today's one-minute update of what happened yesterday with mortgage rates, housing and the economy: It is time for our Presidential candidates to start telling us their plans for the housing finance system in our country such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD/FHA & VA. Given that over 95% of all mortgages are effectively being purchased by one of these governmental agencies, any changes to these agencies can have a big impact on the availability of mortgage financing in America. Therefore, it is important that we hear from them on their plans for these agencies.
