Good morning, Boston! This is your weather update for Saturday, February first.
We're in for a chilly weekend with some winter weather drama coming our way. Overnight, expect snow likely with areas of fog. Temperatures will drop to around 30 degrees, and we'll see north winds around 9 miles per hour with gusts up to 21 miles per hour. We might see less than one inch of snow accumulation.
Saturday starts with patchy snow and freezing rain before 8 am, with a slight chance of snow until 10 am. Temperatures will fall to around 22 degrees by late afternoon, and we'll have northwest winds between 8 and 16 miles per hour.
Saturday night brings clear skies and a cold low around 10 degrees, with northwest winds up to 25 miles per hour.
Sunday will see increasing clouds with a high near 30 degrees, and calm winds shifting to the south.
Sunday night gets interesting with snow before 3 am, potentially changing to rain afterward. We could see about an inch of snow accumulation.
Monday warms up slightly with a high near 47 degrees and a chance of morning rain. Tuesday looks mostly sunny with a high of 40 degrees.
By Wednesday, we might see some snow after 2 pm, and Thursday brings a higher chance of rain, possibly mixed with snow and a high near 46 degrees.
