Good morning, Boston! Bundle up because winter is giving us a chilly embrace today.

We've got a Winter Weather Advisory in effect, so let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us.

Today will be crisp and sunny with temperatures hovering near 28 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect northwest winds around 7 to 11 miles per hour, so keep that winter coat handy.

Tonight, things get interesting. Clouds will roll in, and temperatures will drop to around 16 degrees Fahrenheit. After midnight, a gentle south wind will start to whisper through the city.

Thursday is our wild weather day! We're looking at snow before 3 pm, transitioning to a rain and snow mix, and then potentially just rain after 4 pm. Temperatures will climb to about 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation, so snow lovers, this one's for you!

Friday brings some relief with mostly sunny skies and a high near 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect some west winds with gusts up to 28 miles per hour.

Weekend warriors, Saturday looks mostly sunny with a high around 35 degrees Fahrenheit. But Saturday night? Get ready for snow after 9 pm.

Sunday continues the wintery mix with rain and snow in the morning, transitioning to potential rain in the afternoon.
