Good morning, Boston! This is your weather update for a wintry day ahead.

We've got a Winter Weather Advisory in effect, so buckle up for some snowy and potentially icy conditions. Today's forecast is a bit of a mixed bag, quite literally! Expect snow possibly mixed with sleet before 3 pm, then a chance of rain or freezing rain in the afternoon. The high temperature will be near 34 degrees Fahrenheit, with light winds shifting to a southeast direction.

Overnight, we'll see mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to around 31 degrees Fahrenheit. Friday brings a mostly sunny day with temperatures reaching near 38 degrees Fahrenheit. It'll be breezy, with west winds up to 20 miles per hour and gusts potentially hitting 41 miles per hour.

The weekend looks like a winter wonderland! Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 34 degrees Fahrenheit. But Saturday night is when things get interesting - snow is expected, potentially heavy, with accumulations between 4 to 8 inches possible.

Sunday continues the snowy trend, with precipitation mainly before 1 pm and a high near 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be shifting throughout the day, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour.

The early part of next week looks cooler, with mostly sunny days and temperatures hovering around the low 30s. Tuesday and Wednesday have a chance of snow, so keep those winter boots and warm layers handy!
