Gay Marriage, there I said it.  This is topic we've been asked plenty of times to start touching on.  What IS the church's stance on it, and why does it seem to be changing?  For this first Toddcast episode on the topic (it's sure to come up plenty more in the future), the Todd's take a deeper look at some of the misconceptions that some may have when they think of how the church responds and takes a stance on the issue.

So we sat down to have a nice pleasant conversation about old vs new law, and ended up going back and forth debating the benefits or liabilities of the word "discipline".  Who's side are you on???

What happened to the time when we saw physical healings everywhere like in the Bible?  Are those "healing pastors" we see today a hoax?  Does God still have the same desire to heal today that He had over 2000 years ago?  Should we be encouraged to still be praying for physical healing?  There's a common fear that a lack of physical healing is directly tied to our lack of faith.  Let's get down to the bottom of this

Loving others - It's such a "simple" idea.  The world we live in even has a February holiday dedicated to helping our special loved ones feel loved.  How in line or out of sync is "christian love" when put side-by-side next to what the typical standard for loving others looks like?

Ok, so if Jesus is fully God as well as fully man - then that's double fully and already against what we can understand.  200% isn't a thing, so help me understand - SOMETHING's gotta give, right??  Did Jesus - who is actually GOD - really not know who touched Him in the crowd?  Does He actually not know "the hour of His return"?  How does God know everything but Jesus doesn't?  Tell me I'm not alone in thinking these are perfectly logical questions to want to ask as we look at the guy named Jesus.

If we are designed to experience JOY in relationship with Jesus - how do explain a rightful FEAR of God?  If you've ever wrestled with this tension, be encouraged.  Our hope is this conversation sheds some light on how these two terms can and should coexist.

Memorizing scripture can be helpful, but is it actually doing more harm than good?  Todd and Todd go back and forth about who's right and who's wrong on this one.  Maybe there isn't a stance that can be officially proven, but it sure was helpful pulling apart the thinking behind why we were told to memorize scripture and why many of us still want our kids to do the same...

This word of "worship" - who is it intended for?  Only God? Is it bad to worship other things?  What if there's a chance that we are actually supposed to be worshipping other things?  Let's pull apart this word and hopefully take the limits off what it's used for, in hopes that it enhances it's very meaning to us.
