  • SPOT NEWS OFFICERS SHOT-CANDIDATE ATTACKED 7-21-22
    Two of the year's biggest news stories in the Rochester market broke minutes apart on the same evening in July. Veteran reporter and talk show host Bob Lonsberry anchored the live coverage on NewsRadio WHAM1180 from his home. Working sources in the public safety community, Bob was the first in the market to report the details of the shooting of two Rochester police officers and the subsequent death of one of them. Bob also put his contacts in the political world on the air to describe what they saw when a man seemingly tried to attack a candidate for governor during a rally in the Rochester suburb of Perinton.
