The medical radiation sciences are increasingly used to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in children including plain X-rays, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, bone and PET scans and radiation therapy.

Children attending any of our departments, can experience uncertainty, anxiety, distress and just overall being frightened of the equipment so we need to tailor make our approach to children in a way that reduces sub optimal or uncomfortable interactions within our departments.
