Christian Assembly is a multi-ethnic and historical church in Eagle Rock, CA with four central values: Grace, Worship, Family and Kingdom. Our podcast guest today is Christian Assembly's Kingdom Pastor, Scott Quay, who leads the task of partnering with local and global opportunities for acts of compassion and justice and equipping his congregation to adopt a missional lifestyle. He shares why missions is integral in the character of Jesus and how this has inspired his church to mentor at-risk youth and help feed over 5000 individuals in their community throughout the pandemic. We also heard Pastor Scott's strategy when it comes to forming partnerships, training marketplace leaders to advance the kingdom in their spheres of influence, and serving the unreached in Eagle Rock. Tune in to hear his insights on living missionally and what Christians miss out on when we refrain from doing so!

For five hundred years, Latina/o culture and identity have been shaped by their challenges to the religious, socio-economic, and political status quo, whether in opposition to Spanish colonialism, Latin American dictatorships, US imperialism in Central America, the oppression of farmworkers, or the current exploitation of undocumented immigrants. Christianity has played a significant role in that movement at every stage.

Dustin never expected to be called into a public ministry (especially after he broke down in tears after the first speech he gave as a child). But God has a sense of humor and a way of using the weakest of people. When Dustin experienced God as a freshman in high school, he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life sharing God’s love with others. Dustin has a passion to see the unchurched experience life transformation through the gospel and for believers to experience revived passion for Jesus.
Dustin is the Founder and Vision Caster for Revival LA, a ministry that aims to see revival in Los Angeles. He also oversees the College and Young Adult Ministries of NewStory LA, a church in Downtown LA. Dustin enjoys teaching the Bible as well as writing and speaking about a diverse range of topics from apologetics to ministry leadership.
He believes that it is God’s will for all gospel-believing churches to link arms and make a greater impact on their city. Dustin lives in Downtown LA with his best friend and wife Jennifer.
