Welcome to Episode 5 of "Together We Grow", recorded on the land of the Wiradjuri people, who are the Traditional Custodians of this land.
In this episode, we are joined by three special guests who are Alison and Peter Campbell, and Ben Hooper. We'll hear from Alison, Peter, and Ben about their journey to create Avondale Place, the impact it's had on the Henty community, and the importance of respite care in smaller communities.
Alison and Peter have been active members of the Henty community since 2016, contributing to many different organizations in the region. Recently, they recognized the need for respite care in smaller communities and activated the development and construction of "Avondale Place," a four-bedroom short-term respite care center, and four two-bedroom assisted living units.
Their generous donation of funds enabled the project to proceed, and the Henty Respite Trust, of which Ben Hooper is the Chair, officially celebrated the opening of Avondale Place on March 22nd of this year.
Join us as we explore the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together to support those in need.
