In our fifth interview episode, I sit down with Connor aka CounterPhit Beats. Connor has been frequently featured on the weekly spotlights supplying three of the four beats used in these interviews. We chop it up for a longer episode discussing everything from his early upbringings in music, how he's developed as a producer, and end with a fun discussion of dream tracks. Hope you guys enjoy!

In our third installment of the Weekly Spotlight, I sit down with a very close friend of mine, Shaun Lib (@YoungLib401 on all platforms). Throughout the episode we discuss his earliest recollections of hip hop in his life, the influences that family has provided, as well as the many inspirations that impact him as an artist. We also compare the southern hip-hop scene of Florida, to Rhode Island. Per usual, we round out the episode with a freestyle, beat courtesy of the homie Connor (@counterphit401).

With our second rendition of the weekly spotlight, I sat down with fellow RI rapper Tamar (IG @only1wavy SC @T2Wavy). We discuss his some of his earliest influences such as Young Money, as well as his brother growing up in New York. Tamar shares his opinion on what the Rhode Island creative scene has been doing well so far, but also critiques what he thinks Rhode Island can change to benefit each other. We round out the episode with a fun bouncy freestyle over a Playboi Carti type beat. 

In a slower paced, more relaxed episode Day and I talk about J. Cole and his 'Revenge of the Dreamers' session coming to a close with the album rumored to be releasing in April. We spend some time sharing our thoughts on the Kanye West debacle as well as, XXXTentacion's son being born, and Future hating BBW's. We round out the episode discussing major releases from from the likes of 2 Chainz, Lil Skies, Solange all releasing albums, singles from Rich the Kid, Juice Wrld, and a feature from 6lack

In this weeks episode, Day and I recap the last week and a half. We talk about our frustrations with the Recording Academy and the Grammy Awards. We discuss our feelings on recent news, such as the YNW Melly cases, Gunna over-saturating the industry with rumors of dropping up to 4 albums in 2019, as well as an update to the rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine's legal struggles. We round out the episode briefly mentioning recent releases from Friday February 22nd. 

In our inaugural episode of the Token Society Weekly Spotlight, we sit down with fellow RI creative and founder of 730GoCrazyy clothing Eddy Franco (@edmatto @730gocrazyy on IG). We discuss how he grew up with hip hop, some of his inspirations and influences, his goals, as well as, his perspective on the entire Rhode Island creative scene. We ended the episode on a fun, high note with a laid back freestyle props to Connor Finelli (@counterphit401) for the freestyle beat.
